O/T BGT - why does Walliams always pretend he's gay

He's a weirdo! As for the acts so far - hate dance routines and the Father and Sons were flatter than our pitch after Stan's been on it with his Roller!!

Villa or Arsenal?
at 08:56 30 May 2015

1. Look forward to the FA cup - not sure I saw Villa's winner against us and so at least I'll see us in action (albeit conceding!)
2. Villa - always go for the underdog
3. BBC all the way - least they've put some effort in to it!!

Doubt we'll ever get the answer to any of those questions - be prepared for the Oyston cloak of secrecy to be pulled over the affair.

Have the O's made the club unsellable?
at 05:25 28 May 2015

As has been picked up on the front page article, the fact that this offer only seems to be for the footballing side of the club and the 'use' of the stadium, how will anyone coming in ever make any money from a club who has already sold the majority of this season's season tickets and won't get any revenue from any other sources other than if they sell players?

I think the camel's back would be well and truly broken ....

From the Gazette:

However, odds have shortened on former Preston North End and Stevenage boss Graham Westley taking the Bloomfield Road helm.

Westley will leave Stevenage when his contact expires this week, with Teddy Sherringham set to replace him in the hotseat at Broadhall

Rather than the Tom Finney 'Splash' statue you could have Owen falling in to a swimming pool!!

Fans Parliament
at 21:28 23 May 2015

The Oyston's had their chance a long time ago and the only way I would ever buy in to one of their ideas again is if they were transparent in their dealings, invested in a side which is more than freebies, loans and has beens and return all monies from fans they've sued and issue a full and frank apology for the mess the club has become. The removal of Karl and any bans lifted on fans who have been standing up to them would be a start but still not enough to ever trust them again.

OT : gay marriage
at 21:22 23 May 2015

As a gay man it still depresses me that a quarter of the country voted No. Guarantee most of them had religious persuasions - the all loving, all forgiving, all encompassing church is still one of the most bigoted organisations in the world. In any other walk of life it would be outcast and the court would rule against such prejudicial views but because it's still bought in to by the great and the good (or the numpties and idiots) then it operates within it's own rules.

Don't get me wrong I have no problem with religion (if that's your bag) but don't push your views on others that homosexuality is some sort of evil, warped, twisted and unacceptable way of living your life (maybe start with paedophilia when you're looking at the true evils .. although that might be a bit too close to home).

Any theories on how we could have avoided going down?
at 11:08 23 May 2015

I think sadly individual errors and the fact that Ollie had no Plan B when Prem teams sussed us out in the second half of the season were largely to blame. Turn one draw in to a win and we would have been fine but we had a tendency to panic in the last 10 minutes of games.

Your one abiding memory from last season?
at 11:06 23 May 2015

I have three:

1.. Jose Riga after his first win against Cardiff
2. Watching Lee Clark's body language when we lost 6-1 to Bournemouth and it was clear he didn't have a clue what he was doing
3. The final bit of action on the pitch of the season the man in the mobility scooter - just about summed the season up!

Have said as soon as it became clear that we were on our way to League One that the wheel has turned and that Preston would go up .. nothing is for ever and we are at rock bottom .. hopefully though our demise won't be confounded by a season in League One with Graham Westley at the helm!

Were the Police remiss in the Demos
at 18:39 20 May 2015

Just looking at this charge, I just wonder if the club will try to blame the police for failing to prevent the supporters for 'encroaching' on to the pitch. Will the club claim they took all necessary precautions but were failed by the police?

o/t The Cake Row
at 16:00 19 May 2015

First I should say I'm a gay man - second what the Hell was all this fuss over with regards a sodding cake. So the baker didn't want to do a Bert and Ernie cake for a gay couple .. well go and find another baker who does because clearly the ones that won't have their views and not much will change that. I don't get after so many years of the whole 'gay thing' moving forward why you have to have one or two that demand these rights. I bet if I asked for a cake with KOKO swinging from the gallows they'd turn me down as well (there again they may be more sympathetic to that!)

A judge has ruled that a Christian-run bakery discriminated against a gay customer by refusing to make a cake with a pro-gay marriage slogan.
Ashers Baking Company, based in County Antrim, was taken to court by gay rights activist Gareth Lee.
A Belfast judge said, as a business, Ashers was not exempt from discrimination law.

Just goes to show what an unholy mess our club is in - how can we go from where we were last season with 8 players on the books (of which a couple were half decent) to 6 players on the book - none of which would get in a Conference side at present. Karl should once again step aside - he has lost control both on and off the pitch.

Is a training ground now going to make a difference?
at 18:53 17 May 2015

End of the day poor training facilities didn't deter us from getting to the Premier League - the club need a decent pitch to play on during the week but otherwise they have the BFC gym and the changing facilities at the club and so whilst it is needed it's not essential!!
