Savage on tomorrow's game...says they don't intend to sit back....
To be fair I rewatched the highlights from the first game last night and they started off on the front foot. We were lucky not to go atleast a goal down early on. After that we played our possession game really well and created loads of chances. I just think we were better than them on the day and 0-1 flattered them in the end. As for tomorrow night if they do try and attack us it could turn out to be a very open game.
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
In three recent games - Solihull, Southend, Carlisle - we've seen opposition be very defensive against us, very contained and measured. All 3 of those opposition teams we maybe expected to be more on the front foot, and all 3 games we won by grinding out results.
FGR will be very different I think. Its a big challenge as they have speed and power in attack. One that I am sure we can rise to.

Savage talks very highly about Jim and how he is always overlooked as a manager for the great job he is doing, for example when bigger jobs come around.
Then... Maynard wins manager of the month for Jan with his 80% win record in the league, ahead of McNulty with his 100% win record in league games. They got one more point yes but from playing 1 more game, a home draw against a team we beat in the same month. The league also invented an extra win for them on the nominations in a match that hasn't even taken place.
Suppose that kind of proves his point.

Robbie Savage has gone for the tactic of blowing smoke up Jim’s and the team’s arse. It’s not a bad option to try, if you think there is a chance Jim and the boys listen to his views. However I doubt they do. Tomorrow requires yet another big effort from us, but let’s face it every game requires a big effort now. However York are the team that can’t afford a slip up, which is an even more stern mental and physical challenge. Every win we get is a blow to York. Keep the pressure on lads. UTD

It’s raining pretty hard now but it’s nice to travel from distance without fretting about a postponement. Would be nice to see 3000 in attendance tonight but I don’t think too many will venture north from Gloucestershire and the rain may also deter a few.

What a week. Three massive games and nine points. Clear daylight between us and third. We need to keep taking care of business. Ferguson was sent off tonight so wont be playing on Saturday.
What a couple of games for Dan Moss. Great hustle and then pass for the winner. They were much better than Carlisle and looked threatening without creating too much.

Another cracking win against a very good side on the night.
It was a good game. Proof that Dale will go for it in games when the other team want to come at us, again without losing any real control.
Thought we were a bit sloppy with our touch and passing again but it didn’t really impact us too negatively and we could have scored more than the two we did get.
Forest Green are obviously a good team and cause other sides problems. Their lack of structure and ability to control a game reflects only on one person. But he’ll tell us how great we are, so that’s something. For all those players they’ve signed, they’re no better off than they were in September. Rees offers no more than Mitchell for example.
Anyway, the York late winner is annoying, but then again nobody expected them to let one in when our game was about to end. We can only control ourselves and hope that eventually they slip up. There’s no concern about us losing that control at the moment.
Keep saying, but i don't care how we win these games as long as we do
And we did step it up second half, should've had a couple more. Pitch played magnificently, to match the Dale's ambitions and also good to see about 2500 home fans on a rubbish night
We're now averaging more than 2.5 pts per game, unbelievable
Great win for Dale in a really open game - and Mani is definitely back. Some great saves from Whatmuff too. I know it shouldn't but that 90 +13 min winner for York feels like 2 points dropped. Hartlepool are saying it was very soft too.
