Minimum of a win and a draw needed from our games in hand, to avoid having to better York's record going into the final game

Still a lot of football to be played of course but the point i wish to make here is that a draw tonight wouldn't be the end of the world - just as it wasn't against Yeovil. Our sequence of home wins has been magical but it'd be impossible to just keep on doing that and Scunthorpe will want to make up for their last result

A point would see us retake top position. Another win would be huge and no reason to not be confident

Another big test. Can we go again after a mini setback - like we have all season so far? Saturday was also the first game we haven't won when we've gone ahead. I'm sure the players would've been hurting especially after hearing York's very impressive 3-0 away win and losing top spot. Time for a big performance from Rodney who has been way off his best recently - Gilmour must return also. The first game in hand is a must win - the second game in hand at Southend looks on paper the harder game where I would take a point.

We need to take the pressure off the lads. They know what needs to be done - let them play without pressure and the results will come. We know they are good enough. What we don't need is a tension around the place - still remember when we topped League Two and fell away to get promoted in 3rd place. This team is good enough to go up as Champions. Enjoy.

No Tobi tonight but Pritchard starts, presumably as his replacement.

That all started with Rodney losing the ball weakly in a good position

...should've been 0-2

seems he slightly touched the ball, although couldn't see it move myself. Never seen that before in a game

EDIT: Seems that it could have been because he had raised his foot for the final shot before quitting, which is apparently then a free kick

Excellent response to the crazy penalty incident. No reason at all for him to turn away and not take it.

Mentality to brush that off and get the equaliser shows what we’re made of. The best version of Devante Rodney is here tonight.

On top of that, it’s a cracking game of football to watch.

If he knew he touched it, couldn't touch it again.

Not sure how Mani missed early on and then the penalty. We have been the better team but need to me more clinical. Rodney is getting lots of joy in behind their left back.

Both wing backs are not offering much going forward.

There was a similar incident when we played Spurs in the cup replay a few years ago when Son took a penalty for them - think he stopped near the end of his run up and the ref gave us a free kick, and if I remember rightly, booked Son. Not sure if he touched the ball or not.

He stopped his run, rules have changed since then

watched it back a few times. Mani didn't touch the ball, there was barely any encroachment and the keeper still had a foot on the line.

What was happening was ref was waving and flapping him arms during the run-up, signalling for no-one to encroach, but it was right in Mani's eyeline so maybe (understandably?) distracted him?

Pretty sure ref got the rule wrong - because Mani hadn't started his kicking motion (he stopped during the run up) it should've just been retaken again.

Rodney been really good tonight. He and East playing well. We need to play in their half as much as possible because they are dangerous up front.

Good advert for the national league so far.

It shouldn’t, he stopped, you’re not allowed to stop. Mani should know that. If he’s bothered by the ref waving just take the penalty and deal with that after. Really poor, should know better.

Video on twitter sounds like there is another whistle during his run up too.

Im not and never do. Thought he’did well first half, as did those around me, at least looked to drive at them.

If he was involved in their goal, fair enough.

We are by some way the better team but our crossing needs to improve. The pitch looks to be very firm in the cold.

Need new corner taker, every time straight into keepers hands. All crosses poor. Shooting absolutely terrible, just get it on target. Not sure how Pritchard got POTM, he wasn’t great at all. Perry, play it forward PLEASE! For all the possession and territorial advantage, we really should’ve done much better. Crossing and shooting practice needed desperately!

There were enough chances to win that. Never mind, another point.

Think the referee got the penalty call completely wrong. But our strikers need to find their shooting boots. Another point collected- fair play to Scunthorpe for the way they set up.

Edit- Referee assessor said it should’ve been a retake.
