Braintree Town 22:09 - Mar 2 with 810 viewsLeadbelly

Having been distracted by earth shattering events like the Us winning and appointing a DoF I didn't spot Braintree doing their bit to ensure an Essex derby next season. Now up to 4th place in the conference.

Poll: Safe standing at football; yes, know or don't know?

It would though be a cracking away day for the U's faithful :-)

Cracking day out for sure. Whilst Braintree isn't my favourite town you make your own fun on away days.

Certainly a slow drive home usually, that's for sure.

Not sure their ground is up to League standards. If it isn't, they could be ground sharing with us. So that cracking away trip would in fact be a home game.

I did hear that they would be able to accept place in Div2 if they qualify but would need to do certain works within 12 months. On a serious note it does show what a committed squad can achieve and how a Manager can step up as think he was at Concorde last few years. Be a cracking local derby all the same.

Good luck to them. I hope they go up.

That would be interesting. Not sure I like the idea of being in the north stand for the away fixture but I suppose they would have first dibs on seats.
