Bromley tickets 13:33 - Feb 9 with 419 viewsnoah4x4

Merely 594 Bromley tickets are available via Colchester Utd with priority for ST holders. Thankfully, CUSA has already been able to resolve this for its ST holders that have booked along with their coach seat. I suspect (like Cambridge) around 400 U’s fans will be disappointed.

The Bromley ground capacity is merely 5,900 with only 1600 seats, How on earth will they cope if they get promoted to League One (which seems likely). The EFL should impose tighter ground rules to prevent clubs that don’t meet reasonable standards being admitted (or promoted). Last season, away women fans had only a single toilet and catering was a disgrace.

Anecdotal feedback suggests that it seems likely that many U’s fans might now have purchased home tickets for Cambridge. Home tickets are freely available on the Bromley website. As most of the ground is standing terraces, no specific seat numbers apply. Given that only ST holders have priority, and it’s certain to sell out, I wonder how many U’s fans will get into the home stands?

Only one thing would delight me more than seeing these tin-pot grounds relegated to the National League along with Harrogate. That is a U’s promotion and we then struggling to accommodate Sheffield Wednesday fans.

It's been extended since last season as well I believe. They currently average 3,466 at home, which is still over 400 more than Salford! And over 6,000 less than Notts County!

Poll: How many polls will Leadbelly do this season?

Probably as well as we did in the Championship with a capacity of 6320.

Bournmouth are 11th in the Prem with a ground that holds 11,329.

I agree that clubs shouldn't be allowed in the league if they cannot provide basis facilities for welfare, disabled etc. but it would be a dangerous road if we started restricting clubs because of capacity. That's the sort of thing they would do in some US franchise sport.

EFL clubs need to get organised like most Prem clubs. The big teams assign a priority number to fans who have displayed the most loyalty of the years. It's very easy now with computers.

Someone like Noah would have priority number up in the top hundred or so, whereas mine, nowadays would probably be around the 4000 mark. If there's only 500 tickets available then they go on sale for the top 500 priority fans, the next day it's a fight amongst the top 1000 and so on until it's a free-for-all. I came across this loads of times in the Prem when I was 'doing the 92'.

Big brother knows exactly how many games Noah has been to in the last 5 seasons, so it would be very easy to extend this to smaller clubs, but nobody gives a shite.

It’s just football in 2026. It’s even worse for fans of really big clubs, they can’t even get a season ticket for home games. Some Liverpool fans have been waiting 25 years for the chance. Should they throw Liverpool out of the Prem because their ground isn’t big enough?

The stupid financial fair play bollox mean that clubs now have no choice but to get as much money as possible from gate receipts. That means, scrapping concessions etc. and when the big clubs extend their ground it’s all for corporate seats. They cannot afford to look after the real fans. Anfield is now enormous, but a lot of the new seats are hospitality.

Local followers of clubs like Liverpool and Newcastle have no hope of seeing their club at home, never mind away, but loads-a-money 92’ers can get a hospitality ticket for £1000 without any problems.

I finished the 92 at the Hill Dickinson with a hospitality ticket that cost me a king’s ransom on their dynamic pricing system, only to find that the price had dropped to £150 on the day. Fortunately, I saw the Tossees get stuffed 0-3 by Spurs, I think they call that Karma.

To be fair to Bromley, they were forced to move and segregate away fans when they got promoted to League Two.

They have also been redeveloping their ground, with a new east stand built last year (I think our game there last season was the last in the old terrace).

Tickets for Bromley already sold out. Fortunately, a friend on the OMB has got me one from his allowance, so I will finally be able to make the trip to Hayes Lane (and without going in with the home fans).

Had a chat today with a pal who is with the Essex Police Football Unit. The Police are aware that dozens of U’s fans have now bought tickets in the home areas for Bromley and notably for Cambridge, and fear problems.

If clubs can’t sell out the home stands themselves, why not allocate more seats to away fans to avoid this situation? Merely 120 Col U seats offered at Cambridge is a joke. When a sell out is predictable, surely clubs can apply some common sense?

I’m just hoping the game is on Sky HD+, as I suspect there will be huge disappointment.
