Oh God, I should be better than this…… …..did they call it off because of the pitch or because their mascara would run? With some players like Alisha Lehmann making a few quid out of glamour shoots (and who can blame them), I wonder if any of the Ips#@ch women titillate their local fanbase by dressing as sheep or posing with agricultural equipment?
| Binnerettes game called off on 09:28 - Feb 16 with 454 views | RSCOSWORTH | There's standing water everywhere in Highwoods. Aren't they saying it's rained every day this year so far? Plenty of games have been called off in the last week. Did you see the "pitch" in the Grimsby V Wolves game yesterday? | |

Being turned back at Corley Services would have been far less miserable than travelling 15 hours to watch a U’s team lacking effort and motivation that allowed bottom of the league Barrow to do the double over us. Now watching England cricket’s top order throwing away wickets to the Italian Australians. At least I won’t suffer at Cambridge tomorrow given the fiasco about tickets. Many ST holders amongst the 154 faithful at Barrow also haven’t got tickets. Perhaps a blessing….
| Binnerettes game called off on 11:12 - Feb 16 with 431 views | TAFKAT | Before Tuesday, lets nip this ‘Ooh Cambridge are on a good run’ bollox right in the bud. Their last six games have been against Bristol Rovers, Crawley, Harrogate, Oldham, Shrewsbury and Tranmere, anything less than 5 wins would have been an embarrassment to a team that wants automatic promotion. There is no reason why we cannot get a result. EDIT: Yes, yes, playing a shit plan with no enthusiasm or effort would constitute a reason, but that's not what I meant. [Post edited 16 Feb 11:22]

And they lost to Harrogate. Not sure we've "pinched" too many results this season, Tuesday would be a good time to start.

I don’t know how desperate you are to see the game, but I notice that there are still hospitality tickets available in the Regent Lounge at £100.80 and it looks quite smart. I’m not a Solicitor, but I cannot see where it says home fans only? You could call them and ask. It does say: “Any attempt to gain access to the Ground demonstrating or showing support for the Away Club (including but not limited to away chanting, shouting or cheering), may result in admission being refused” “Any attempt to gain access to the Ground wearing or carrying apparel (including, without limitation, hats and/or scarves) that demonstrate support for the Away Club, may result in admission being refused” Many moons ago I regularly took away supporters in the hospitality seats at the Community Stadium, many grounds allow it, some don’t. You just have to be sensible and not invite any tw@ts along with you. Personally, doing the 92, I quite enjoyed being behind enemy lines at places like Cardiff. At least Cambridge speak the same language. [Post edited 16 Feb 15:32]

I don't think you're allowed to wear any colours for our hospitality suites? I'm going to be in a hospitality box for the Walsall game, and that's what I've been told.

| Binnerettes game called off on 08:53 - Feb 18 with 212 views | noah4x4 | I think there is a world of difference between having away fans in hospitality and away fans upon home terraces. I was fortunate to spend a long career embracing sports marketing, often hosting hospitality at soccer, cricket, racing, squash, table tennis etc. When we lost 5-0 to Norwich I enjoyed hosting 20 of my pals in the main sponsors box at Carrow Road. Flybe was (soon) pulling out of Norwich Airport and I was given free access (and food/drink) as I had done some work for the airline that their Board felt warranted reward knowing I was a U’s fan . Frankly, none of them were remotely interested in Norwich City versus Colchester United, so I probably did them a favour by it not being left embarrassingly empty (which might have prematurely set tongues wagging at the airport). Most of us were in U’s colours (albeit with ties in pocket, just in case they enforced their rules) and the Delia Smith inspired hospitality was out of this world. There was good humoured banter with the Norwich fans on the terrace below, but nothing that would have embarrassed the real corporate owners of the facility. Post-match Hat-trick Cureton got more ribbing than he expected when he did his MoM appearance in the box, but it was all well behaved. As I said, hospitality is totally different to the foul language blighted terraces, even though by the final whistle the former is typically the more alcohol fuelled. Resisting free Prosecco takes much willpower. | | | |

Finished 1-1. Pitch looked surprisingly good in the short amount of footage I saw. They're looking like they might escape relegation with former U David Wright in charge.
