Yes one of the Giants of the game is back as himself next season

Des the Gooner is no more

The franchise has ended

And this will be the remit

If within 3 seasons I am
Not crowned as Happy League champion once more the club will fold for good.

No messing about

A massive push for promotion next year and then two seasons to get the ultimate crown


Or bust !

Serious negotiations now with my partner Gooner to see if the franchise will continue next season - our 4 year association has fizzled out after a super start ..

Season 1 - promotion plus charity shield and cup winner
Season 2 - 4th place prem finish
Season 3 - relegation
Season 4 - bottom half div 1

This game will pan out as follows

Colchester will have an early chance and hit the woodwork

Then it will be all Southend possession and pressing with no real threat

HT 0-0

Second half will be more 50/50 and franky a dour affair of thrust and counter thrust. Bodies will simply be getting in the way of everything.

Then in the 89th minute from a corner Southend Will have a goal bound effort cleared off the line.


Game finishes 0-0
