Five from here but it's not a trip you want to be doing when King's Cross is closed all weekend so it'll be a pretty miniscule turnout I think, particularly with Southampton on Tuesday.

I doubt a 12.30 kick off is helping much.

No doubt Sky will secure huge viewing figures though.

I doff my cap to all those travelling to Hull. Its a Long trip, for an early kick off, with travel disruption.

I went on our first visit to the new stadium - the day of the 'town full of bombers' chants after the 7/7 terrorist attacks. Away fans bus back to the station got attacked and we had a punch up at the station, so I am in no rush to go back there.

Safe trip all and fingers crossed for an enjoyable game and 3 points....but more likely a dull game in awful weather and a long trip home with nil points

Yet another 3 game week where 2 are away...which for me would be over 400 miles... so will have to give the Hull game a miss...

Kudos to those that are going... just too old now

And we do it all again next month Birmingham and Leicester... it is ridiculous the amount of times we are away in these 3 game weeks

Three of us going but as we live in West Yorkshire, it's only just over an hour to get there.

Last two years we've had Saturday-Tuesday slogs with Hull and Plymouth.
Plymouth get relegated so now we get... Hull and Southampton.

Put a bullet in me.

At least you've got the scintillating football to look forward to.

Only just recovered from last season’s game there so good luck to those making the trip. Once a decade at the ‘current sponsor’s name’ stadium will do me. Alfie Lloyd’s finest hour.

I know there are alot of issues with our club... spanning from injuries... through to not being very good and a unbalance to the team....

But in 7 sets x 3 game weeks since November, we have had 5 sets where we are away 2 of the games.... are there any other clubs doing this? And it certainly don't help us

fair play to those going, hope we get a result for their sake if nothing else.

I had this one pencilled in on the calendar but the ridiculous 12.30 kick off time made my mind up for me. f*ck sky.

by the time we arrived ear drums where destroyed as was the arse crack of my jeans , oh and we played the dev side as well , a memorable day out and a driver permentaly relageted to the break glass in case of emergencies driver pile !

For once, the change of kick-off time suits me, as I have a cricket awards dinner to go to in the evening, so now I can do both.

Although generally, I dislike 12:30 kick offs.

It’s the journey, Clive…..and the weird pubs you find along the way.

Seriously, loads of respect/admiration for anyone able to go AND wanting to do so on current performances.

Chapeau.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

No you're right we've done the worst out of the list in this regard this season, it's us and one other with this many double aways but I can't remember who.

I know it’s not an original gripe but has there been big inflation in weekend train prices? Anything north of Milton Keynes from London (plus the £16 or so to get to London and back for me) seems to have gone nuts even when looking for away games a few weeks in advance.

One from Malton, and taking a Villa supporting mate. Spoons brekkie will likely be the highlight.

Yeah I did that Plymouth-Hull one. It IS pretty knackering even if you’re not actually playing. Do think it’s a disadvantage if you have that more often than other teams across the season.

But is a nightmare for the fans too.

ETA according to the thread on it, it’s Derby and Bristol City that have six double away games in the three game weeks. Other teams only have three of them (courtesy of Stowmarket).

If I remember correctly Watford have only either 1 or 3 double away weeks this season. So do Leicester.
Ours have been exacerbated by having to play some long away trips on a Wednesday followed by a Saturday away game. The players won’t get back home until the early hours of Thursday morning and be on the road again less than 36 hours later.

Fck me. If that's the highlight, you need to find somewhere better for breakfast. And that's before you start watching the football.

I guess there’s the fun job of doing it manually by seeing who we played in the double weeks e.g. Hull and Plymouth and then checking their double weeks.

I think actually a bigger issue is now that they move half the games to the Wednesday so whether home or away you’ve got two days off against an opponent with three. When I briefly worked in the gambling industry it played a quite big part in the odds-compiling. More so in obscure countries or lower leagues but still a factor.

We won both of those Wednesday games against Swansea and Blackburn, but lost both of the following Saturday games against Derby and Norwich.
So maybe the extra day’s rest before the 1st fixture made the difference, and the lack of rest before the Saturday games hindered us more than the home teams? We didn’t play well at either derby or Norwich.
