The Welsh Government has purchased the land the theme park is built on, as part of a beachfront redevelopment project.
The area is expected to be turned into a new complex of housing, business facilities and leisure facilities, according to local media.
The development will also remove the theme park, with the building expected to start in the next three years.
Hundreds of locals have signed a petition to save the theme park, hoping to make it protected from the regeneration project. |  |

Porthcawl have a golf course that is good enough to host an Open, Tom Watson said so during a Seniors Open there. Problem is, there is one road in and out, no train station and no major hotels. | |

Trecco bay further along the front is like a war zone over the weekends as well apparently, they've done the new harbour complex nice though, its pricey though, but so is everywhere else at the moment, paid £6.75 for Tiny Rebel beer down at the bay a month ago, I'm still having counselling over it  |  |
