He did have a decent run in the Champions League in 2023. but thats it. Would be a bit like choosing Elyounoussi because he scored a goal against Man City. Fair enough on the call for Steve Cooper. Though in reality, he has achieved very little, beyond buying or loaning loads of players

Steve Cooper got Forest up and kept them up. It was Forest’s mad owner who signed all the players. Cooper had very little say in that. Then Leicester ridiculously sacked him when he had them outside the bottom 3, and replaced him with Van Horseface. That ended well. He is exactly what we need. [Post edited 10 Nov 16:47]

Not quite, he took over in September 2021. After the incompetent Chris Hughton had done nothing with them. He got them up that same season in the play offs. So quite an achievement. He's at Brondby though, so unlikely to walk out with significant financial compensation

"The guy has zero experience outside of Denmark. Let alone having any idea about Championship or English football." That's terrible. He sounds almost as bad as Regis Le Bris did when Sunderland appointed him. [Post edited 11 Nov 11:11]

We could go on naming hundreds of managers who'd never played or managed in England before - some more successful than others. The same goes for internal appointments - Liverpool made a series of them - Paisley, Fagan, Dalglish, Moran etc. The truth is, you just never know until after they get the job. If Regis Le Bris, for example, had been appointed as our manager instead of Sunderland's, firstly, we wouldn't have had a clue who he was, and then, after reading about him online, we'd all have been up in arms.
