With thanks to those of you who have voted over the last week we can now report that Tom Eastman has won our Colchester United Young Player of the Year award for the 2011/12 season.

The 20-year-old, who is in his first year at the club after opting to join the U’s over a new deal at Ipswich Town last summer, took 76% of the vote ahead of 2009/10 winner Anthony Wordsworth (21%). Last year's winner, Ben Coker, came third with 3% of the vote.

Thanks again to those who voted and congratulations to Tom, who looks to have a very promising future ahead - hopefully with the U's!
