Jackett: Every Pompey point will involve hard work
Saturday, 15th Sep 2018 07:43 by pompey-fans.com staff

Kenny Jackett says Pompey will be going for the win away to leaders Peterborough - and it's exactly the sort of game players and fans should reliish.

Looking ahead to the first v second tussle the Pompey boss told the club website: ''It’s the type of game that you want to be involved in and it’s one we’re really looking forward to. Peterborough have started very well after making a high number of changes — they’ve gelled particularly quickly.

'Like a number of teams in this division, they’ll be looking to get one of those promotion places, although it’s still very early. Both sides finished just outside the play-offs last term and will be looking to improve — that’s certainly our aim.

'It’s an eye-catching fixture, but we’re experienced enough to you need to work hard for every point you get.'

Pompey have been playing a 4-2-3-1 formation but Jackett said although that had served them well so far he was not against changing if when circumstances dictated.

Will that be today, we wonder...?
