Fantastic team performance, Saints look a quality side. Now let's beat Reading, sorry Nigel.

What a brilliant team effort! We have every reason to be happy: again, it's great to be a Saints fan today.

Everybody that played deserves high praise, and special cheers to all our fans who again proved SMS to be such a vivid ground!

It is however a strange, strange game: so much effort and team spirit and we still could have easily drawn or even lost: the costly lapses of defensive astuteness, both our keepers' kicking, Lampard's freekicks - it wouldn't have been fair, but it was a real possibility till the 90th minute. So let's not get carried away: Reading will be very tough, we should back the boys right until the very end even if the score is not in our favor.

But after all - let's just be happy! Hero status to SRL, Spider and Cork, rising careers for JRod, Clyne and Shaw, incredible support: today we proved that we are definitely a club on the up. Thank you guys!

Please Hilly, don't get all stubborn like Soft Lad.....No Subs when the game is shite and Plan B might just help.

Soft Lad alienated the fans by this sort of display, keeping all his favourites on the pitch when we all could see they were crap.

We gifted Villa the 3 points

We wrapped it up in gold leaf and gifted Fulham 4 goals and the 3 points

The team was nervous throughout and only Townsend and M'Bia seemed up for the fight.

Hill had a nightmare and Samba too

The commentator never used the word 'Remy' in the first 30 mins!!!

The past 2 weeks have summed up our season and I reckon there will be a good few more 3-2 defeats over the next 7 games

Roll on next season!

4 goals!!! Wow what a typo and no way of editing post!!

That's the trouble with waking at 3am to watch the match live over here :)

I wonder if the reason we defended so deep first half was to accommodate hill's lack of pace. When onuaha came on we pushed up, squeezed the space and stopped fulham from playing, but of course by then it was too late.

Radio commentator said about samba, '"£100,000 a week? I wouldn't pay him one pound a week on that performance".

Samba had a 'Mare'. Hill had a 'Mare'.

Besides our gifting of the 3 goals, Cesar had next to nothing to do all game.

Samba had a very very bad day at the office but can still be at the heart of our defence next season. Regrettably, though I feel that Hill just doesn't have the legs to last beyond maybe 20 odd games next season. He has been a great servant to the club but his best is behind him.

I'd hoped that after a two week break and given the situation we are we'd have come out all guns blazing against an admittedly in form Fulham. Yet we hardly saw the ball in the first 30 minutes. The first half can be summed up in one word - Samba!

We were much better in the second half and on the balance of play and I harboured hopes of a draw but three goals proved too much.

I thought Jenas did very little hast night and would have taken him off for Hoilett rather than Tarbs. Townsend was my man of the match but i'd have liked to have seen him switched across to the left side when Traore went off (or sooner) - I think he could have caused Riise problems and crossed much better with his left foot. He was going some great work down the right wing but his deliveries were not great last night.
