I don't think any manager could honestly say that every player they have signed has been good. You take a chance with everyone you sign. KH has gambled on players in the past and found some good ones. Craig Dawson for example. You can blame the scouts but they have to base their decision on seeing them for a few games. Also, the success of a player depends on the success of the rest of the team. He could be the best player in the world, but if his team mates aren't getting the ball to him, he can't do anything with it.
Like most of the people who go watching Dale, I'm not a football manager, so if someone with the experience that Keith Hill has goes out and signs a player, I will support him as he knows more than I do about management.
Has it crossed your mind that he may have just sent Williams out to get some game time and he could come back a better player. | | | |
