The few thousand that went missing between Spurs at home and MK Dons at home were all Dale and Man Utd fans watching the 1st leg of the Sevilla game. The same applied to the 2nd leg on Tuesday night which accounts for the 2,200 and something at the Southend game.
These Man Utd fans will now have defected to either Liverpool or Man City for the next round. | | | |

The home stands for MK Dons were a few thousand missing from the Sunday against Spurs. The night of the MK Dons game coincided with Man Utd being on TV in the European Cup. The Man Utd game must have been the reason for a few thousand less on the gate at Dale.
I agree that Liverpool v Man City in the European Cup on TV will be more appealing to the generic football fan but I would still think that, should he or she be able to attend the game, the Dale Supporter will still be at the home game on the same night. | | | |
