No recommendations, but went to my nephew's wedding in Prague last summer. His missus is from Bratislava and a few of her mates came along

Went last September, thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of good bars all round the city but, depending on what you want I'd recommend a walk down Obchodna and Sedlarska. Or, for the more discerning beer fan, Fabrika on the way to/from the station and or Le Senk underneath the castle.

Can't help with knocking shops though!

EDIT: Oh, and try the Tatransky Caj if you get chance...
