A trip to Wembley will be a big positive in respect to increasing upcoming season card sales. We really need to start taking these opportunities now and the players are more than capable. The fans have responded to their efforts all season.
| Playoff kickoff on 10:10 - Apr 30 with 2217 views | Nerazzurri | We've come a long way since the dawn of online sales but no ticketing provider seems to have cracked handling sales to away fans yet. Given that ourselves & Scunthorpe both use Fanbase you'd have thought it relatively simple to share our seating plan with them & then put it on priority to their fans as we did with ours. I'd guess it's as simple as ours were on general sale at 6 per person & system doesn't allow a seperate limit on the away tickets. Scunthorpe could have insisted they handled the sales themselves as Carlisle & York did, perhaps they just don't have the staff to handle it at short notice so they were happy to allow us to do it. Either way, not great & something that clubs & ticketing providers need to work on. On another note, impressive demand for home tickets, despite last Saturday's outcome it does seem to have captured peoples attention. We really must capitalise on this now & qualify, then follow it up by winning at Wembley. We will never increase our fanbase significantly if we can never get over the line in crunch games. | |

Good post. Should be buzzzing on Sunday, the attendance will be higher than the York game.

| Playoff kickoff on 08:02 - Apr 30 by TalkingSutty | A decision made by somebody who obviously has no affinity or understanding of the fans, it just lacks basic commonsense and a don't give a sh*t attitude. If it happened to our fans we'd be going mad. The Ogdens still have people in the club who are capable of dragging us back to the bad old days and antagonising the fans, this sort of stuff shouldn't still be happening. Hopefully the new CEO will get a grip of things like this, it's basics and bad publicity at a time when we will soon be wanting to sell season cards with all the benefits that supposedly should bring. Isn't this what the football regulator is for - fan experience and fairness amongst other things. I can't believe anyone thought this would be fair. Anyway we have a more serious issue now - the Scunny fans have worked out that we are not checking the Dale purchase credentials for Sandy Lane tickets in the way we did against York and are buying them according to a facebook posting. You're right about that but the decision screams..'we're not bothered about priority or fairness, just get them sold'. It's poor, especially when revenue from the ticket sales is shared. | | | |

"I'd guess it's as simple as ours were on general sale at 6 per person & system doesn't allow a separate limit on the away tickets." That's a conclusion that I have arrived at too. It's a shame if Fanbase isn't sophisticated enough to simultaneously allow different ticket limits for home and away fans especially where both clubs already use the platform. Hopefully something for their developers to look at if that's the case. It seems that Scunthorpe fans who missed out are now targeting the remaining Sandy Lane tickets and subsequently having them cancelled.

If that is the case about the system not being able to have 2 different maximum ticket amounts Dale's shouldn't have gone on open sale till this morning. At the same time Scunthorpe's were supposed to go on open sale. A big cock up really.

The limit for Dale fans was one per person. The limit for Scunny fans is six per person. Therefore the system must be able to have two different systems, or am i missing something? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It's six tickets per application once they went on general sale, but during the ST window it was one per ticket, based on the seat the ST holder had used all season [Post edited 30 Apr 11:37]

Thanks. That was just for Dale fans. Scunny tickets were six per application from the moment they went on sale?

Yes because the system was set for 6 for Dale's open sale at the same time Scunthorpe season ticket holders came to buy there's - so apparently they were allowed to get 6 also. Like I said 'a big cock up'!

It would appear so, but it also shows the online system is able to be adjusted according to requirements It just wasn't "thought through" for the Scunny lot

It's not at all clear that the system can't be adjusted for home & away fans buying at the same time Needs clarifying of course, but the Scunny fans would be logging in under their club, which any basic IT system would therefore enable to be adjusted as necessary. This would be under the same basic programming as identifying the Scunny purchaser as an ST holder [Post edited 30 Apr 11:53]

the default setting on Dale,s ticketing site is for a maximum of 6 tickets per sale, It's Scunny fault for not checking or using their own site

No its not Scunthorpe's fault. Dale set our own season ticket amount at 1 per person so that's what it should've been set at for Scunthorpe.

It's not for Dale to decide how Scunthorpe should have sold their allocation , if they did not do due diligence and check with Dale , or ask Dale to limit sales per ST holder then yes it is their fault not Dale's

Thanks for that, yes a balls up. The official statement on Scunthorpe's site did say that Rochdale had set the limit at six tickets per season card. [Post edited 30 Apr 12:27]

Seriously. It's a season ticket priority window! We have set the system at 6 not them. It's our cock up and they have already gone public and said it is. I wonder why we haven't responded? 🤔

| Playoff kickoff on 12:34 - Apr 30 with 1640 views | Dale_Mike | The simultaneous ticket limit restriction is only a guess / thought. This was their original comms re. ticketing. https://www.scunthorpe-united. "Tickets will be available directly from FanBase via Rochdale's platform" "Season ticket holders who have registered their account on FanBase will receive communication of a link and password to access the allocation to purchase tickets. Rochdale have set it to a maximum of six tickets per account holder." Obviously, we don’t know the rationale behind it, but this seems to be what was put in place. It hasn’t gone down well with a lot of their fans, and hopefully a similar outcome can be avoided if we find ourselves in the same situation as the away team in the future. | | | |

Nope I can,t agree , if Scunny wanted restrictions they should have asked for them , it is not Dale's responsibility at all, they just put them on sale as they would any normal tickets. The fact that Dale ST 's were restricted shows that it could have been done but it was not Dale's call to restrict them , that decision should have come from Scunthorpe , unfortunately it didn't If I come to you with 10 tickets for Elton John tribute at the Empire and ask you to sell them for me , I can,t complain after you have sold them all when I wanted them offered in my local boozer first , it would have been up to me to tell you before you put them on sale , it would not be your fault that you sold them other than my wishes [Post edited 30 Apr 14:31]
