We have signed Bobby Grant on a two year deal.

Forza Nerazzurri

now if we can just let no one leave it'd be the perfect day.

Dead wood has departed. Maybe someone like abadaki might go out on loan.

Great signing, I'm really chuffed with this. He's hardworking, will fit perfectly into the system Coleman wants to play, and he knows where the net is. It's also promising that the board have backed Coleman to land his #1 target.

For those questioning his record at Scunthorpe, he had an almost identical record to a certain Chris Dagnall at the club.

This would be the same Dagnall that now plays in the Championship and pissed all over us a few weeks back, and which many would have given their right nut to have return to the club.

Hoooorayyyyy, something to be encouraged about! Can we expect goals from a striker now!?

I don't know, his career (totted up from Wiki admitedly) is 27 goals in 138 appearances. Ashley Grimes's rate is better than that in theory.

Everyone on this thread etc seemed to be excited by it, is anyone else not? I genuinely hope I'm wrong, and Coleman, if anyone, can probably get the best out of him.

Its, a signing a, lot of you wanted-scouse-ex-Accy-no, surprise,there

Would question why he never-made it at, Scunkthorpe?

Scunny fans probably will think they didn't get enough value for the reported £260k paid for him, with 7 league goals in 29 (+30 as sub.) appearances.

But Coleman seems to know how to get the best from him, and at just 22 he should get better. No pressure, but a debut goal please, Bobby, as on your first loan appearance for Dale in Nov 2010.

I just wanna dance.

Coleman must be thinking he's in heaven with all his ex-Accy cream players back playing for him.

I knew Dunphy had some money tucked away. "And there's more"...as Jimmy Cricket used to say.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.

I think we should say thanks to the Board for allowing this transfer, and backing Coleman.

A 2 year deal is a big commitment for us, so well done to all concerned for making it happen, and opening the much lauded "war chest"!!

Now lets see if he is as good as we hope, and as good as JC obviously thinks.

A win tomorrow is vital to kick start our season.

Up the Dale.

Your post confuses me.

Your post would suggest i have a track record of condemning players before they play for the club, which i certainly don't, I haven't complained once about a signing made by coley and was infact happy with some, players of lillis' caliber and someone such as McIntyre who was player of the season for a play-off chasing league two team, can only improve us as a team.

As i've stated, i think Grant has great talent, but i'm not sure where hes going to fit, as i've seen him struggle before out wide, playing against us and he isn't big enough to play adebola's role. My preference was a big striker, as i don't think adebola has enough about him at 37 years of age to impact a game for a full 90 mins, 46 games a season, so someone was needed to dovetail with him.

So i'll await your explanation, perhaps you misread AGAIN? or just another of your outlandish comments.

I'm just not impressed by the signing of a player who's not tall enough to stand in Sandy lane
