Fitness levels!! 20:41 - Aug 23 with 1774 viewsrkershaw

Not sure who the conditioning coach at the club is at the moment but after the showing today we must be one if not THE fittest squad in League One - acknowledged by Cotterill in his post match analysis - "give credit were credit's due - they (Dale) have got young players who absolutely run their socks off!"

Not bad for a bunch of league 2 journeymen,as some of their fans thought of us before the game

Your spot on. Keith Hill wherever he goes and flitcroft ensure their players are in top condition. If you have ever seen his sessions you would think they are brutal, however because of the bubbly character of our king the player's will run run run for him. There have been managers at clubs that try to do the same but failed. Graham Westley a fine example. Others like Graham Alexander have been rumoured to have called players in at 630 to do some running/fitness work. If the environment is good everyone pulls together and this certainly is the case at Rochdale football club. It would be interesting to compare how far we run as a team compared to others.
Dortmund we're at one point not performing so well, the management team offered the player's a few days off at Christmas time providing they run and each player run a certain amount of kilometres per game. They smashed the barrier set and also saw results turn positive. Ever since they have been a dominant force and cracking side to watch. Here's hoping we are the mini Dortmund of England.

Poll: Bottomley...

Let's talk about Bunney. What's the problem there? He came on for last ~20 mins yesterday and looked knackered and in previous games it's been the same. He was outpaced by their centre backs that had played all match and had no zest in trying to go past people. Not match fit?! Doesn't look to have the same impact as coming on as a sub like last season
