Fans saw us beat Northampton Town 3-0 in the 4th round of the F.A.cup on January 27th 1990. I had just turned 14 and it was the 1st time I had seen Spotland properly packed out for a game. Still remember the feeling today when 0'Shaunessy's thunderbolt free kick hit the back of the Sandy Lane net. It would be wonderful if we could see Spotland packed again in a few weeks time. This team deserves supporting.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
It's funny how your memory plays tricks on you, or mine certainly does. I had it etched in my memory that the crowd was 9044, and Shosh's free kick was the 40 yarder, only to be told recently that free kick was actually against Scarborough (I think).
My son and I were two of those. A good day out. I remember that striker ( Paul Barnes ? ) having a real strop when a team mate failed to play him in for a shot on goal ! Didn't one or two pubs get their windows put through that day ?

Yeah The Forresters on Bury Road near Mellor St, lot of trouble that day. Chased down college bank. Doubt the Dale will sell out for Hudders though.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
