Our last 6 home games are against teams 10th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 23rd and 24th. If we can’t get a decent haul from those game then we deserve to be relegated !!! |

3 Wickets and economy rate below 2.
Decent 1st innings score, odd in that 1 player gets over 200 and no-one else gets to 40. Does it means it is a good pitch but 10 players played poorly, or is it a tricky pitch but 1 player had an unbelievable innings? Hopefully the former.
Need to at least equal their score which with our run rate that could be early tomorrow. 100 lead would be ideal. They say day 3 may be the best for batting on the commentary I was listening to. |

Absolutely. It will be the equivalent of 1 section at old Trafford with 90%+ having no intention of causing any bother. A Saturday game v another Tuesday evening ensures a better crowd & atmosphere. No reason this can’t go ahead.
EDIT: Unless they put the Barnet game there instead !!!!

It does look odds on the Ravens v 49’s. However the Mahommes/ Kelce partnership woke up against the Bills and would probably need to do the same against the Ravens for it to be close. The KC defence has shown it can deliver too.
If there is a shock I think it could be the 49’s having an off day especially is Debo is injured. Purdy has been very solid but can have the odd bad day. The lions defence against the pass needs to step up. I think Detroit could do it with the offence they have. However I would still put my money on a Ravens/49’s SB |

Home and away against Fylde who are second bottom, then Home against Kiddie who are bottom and home again against mid table Wealdstone after a 2 week rest
Not much danger of us finishing in the bottom 4 so this is a golden opportunity to build some momentum for a run at the play - offs. I know there are no guaranteed wins, but you can’t ask for a better run of fixtures. Should be targeting 8-10 points from those games. |

Mark Butcher on the Wisden podcast said it could be the worst defence of a world title in sports history. Might be a slight exaggeration but I know what he means. I watched it yesterday, and as some pointed out earlier, you can’t believe what you saw. Every player over 30 years old, the first time ever in the World Cup and only the third time in any ODI. Apparently the experience of being there and having done it before was the big idea. Back to the drawing board !!I think we need to say goodbye to a number of these players & have Buttler back to being just a player again.
I fear for us against India, although it seems we still have a 4% chance of qualifying according to CricInfo !!! |

FFS, one of the most spineless efforts ever on a good batting pitch. Thank god for the final partnership of 70 otherwise we would be bottom of the table on run rate. Have to win all the remaining games to definitely go through, tough with India, Aussies and Pakistan in there. |

Aussies beat Pakistan and now up to 4th. We can be as high as third with a convincing win tomorrow.
NZ & India look odds on to qualify but a real scrap now for the other 2 places. Aussies have a much easier run in than anyone else as they have played 3 of the top opponents already. |

In the commentary it said their budget is £300,000 which is 6k per week. I would imagine our budget must be more than double that, yet we have a squad who hardly put a shot in for the whole 90 minutes. Poor performance and a result & takes away the magic of being in the hat for the first round proper. Well done Hereford. |

1-1 now after a convincing win yesterday. 6 wins will get us in the Semi, possibly 5 so can’t afford too many slip ups. SA, India Pakistan & NZ looking very good with 100% records so far.Can’t afford to slip up against Afghanistan on Sunday especially with SA up next ( they could still be 100% with Aussies and Netherlands up next for them) [Post edited 12 Oct 2023 9:33]

If the 49’s can stay injury free then they will be difficult to beat. Brock Purdue just needs to be efficient & their stars can put the points on the board. If not the defence can flatten anyone on their day.
Following the Eagles since last year and they look a good bet for at least the championship game again. Some odd scores this season already none more so than Miami putting up 70 points a week ago and then having almost 50 put on them this week against a very good Bills team.

Although we always lose more days than most to rain, this year seems to have been worse, especially games we have been on top. Full day lost today, draw in the last game when well on top. Will probably scupper our chances of a top 3 if we don’t get a result this game and Warwickshire win. Could even end up 5th. |

A bit like yourself, I can’t get that motivated about the last match. Shame that the rain spoiled what could have been an all time great series
Experts are trying to build up the importance of the game, but the ashes is about who holds the urn at the end of it. Not losing a series since 2001 against the Aussies is very small beer especially when they have kept the ashes with draws in the last 2
I am wondering if Jimmy will retire after this match, especially if he doesn’t get many wickets. Great servant but probably time to move on. |

I must admit that although I don’t like watching women’s football, I really enjoy the women’s cricket. It’s really improved & although there are less sixes, you really see some classic shots being played. Some really good games too. Fielding and catching probably have quite some way to go but the overall quality has come on leaps and bounds. |
