Maguire said in his signing interview he'd spoken to McNulty initially and it progressed from there.
I'm staggered that a blatant sick note has got past MRKT, McNulty, Watson responsible business acumen and got a two year contract!!!
Sherring to a lesser extent as he's had a rough 18 months but previously was a regular league one player. Could still recover form/confidence. |

Like a lot of fans at the moment I'm just stunned how games are panning out at the moment.
Like the manager, shocking injury list, pre season disrupted.
Some really good players who are applying themselves
Some poor signings who should never have been on our radar.( Maguire/Sherring)
Don't know what the answers are.
Hoped it would go a lot better than this but it's becoming indefensible. |

Thoughts.
The players are playing for the manager, no lack of commitment or effort.
Tar/ Moss are fine at right back /wingback.
Bilongo is best at wingback. When available!
Wilson should play on the right side instead of Sherring .
Dejaune Brown with Silcot-Duberry and Smith as a front three looks good to me.
Ebanks got better as the game went on.
Sam Beckwith left centre back.
Midfield. No lack of effort or commitment but we just seem second best . Taylor looked to have some quality when he came on.
Mani D not effecting the game , can see him having more effect of the bench.
Keeper learning on the job, needs to be more commanding.
Think we have the players in the building to play 3-4-3 competitively as per last season.
Like the manager and hope he rides the storm and succeeds.
Hope he brings it altogether when injures permit. |

Two central midfielders in a week would suggest your right. Can see a couple of the promotion winning team moving on before the transfer window closes.
Credit to the manager he has given fair opportunity to impress in his way of playing. |

Remember McNulty doing an interview in February sometime and thinking something was a bit off with him. If I was a betting man I'd lay odds on the Stockport move being a possibility for a while. |

I've watched a few YouTube highlights of South Shields from last season. Looked to me to play a 433/4141 formation. Tight midfield 3 in defence then then 2 attacking midfielders getting forward. Wingers running the channels a lot rather than out and out wing play. We shall see! |

Moss and Hannant constantly receiving the ball and just passing back again was mind boggling.
It was crying out for them to switch sides and at least have a chance of some forward impetus.
Hannant had a blinding season at Gateshead playing left wing back. |

Bitterly disappointing but we're suffering the consequences of a botched job by previous incumbents. I think I'm right in saying the pitch has been stripped back to the drains twice in the last ten years or so. To still have such poor drainage is mesmerizing. The covers will move water to the side of the pitch, but can water drain from there? If not it just soaks and raises the water table. Perhaps some method of taking the water of the covers and drained away properly may work ? |

Looking at the fixtures,by early October we will know whether the managers slightly passive aggressive actions where a master stroke or served no purpose and merely hindered our progress. |

Knew Spennymoor would equalize when the assistant (Gibbins) was telling the players to slow it down and defend. Handed the initiative to Spennymoor who had been threatening when they got forward all game. Why Alarakia was left on whilst clearly injured was staggering. We really are weak. |

Two strikers up front makes all the difference.
Devante Rodney so much ability. Once he robbed their player you just knew he was going to score. Got to be the most frustrating player we've ever had.
Why hasn't Hendo been used more. Looks as fit as ever.
