Saints Now Mathematically Safe From Relegation 5th Jul 2020 21:53
There weren't many betting on a Saints win, even less on a first goal for Che Adams, but it was a double for Saints and a treble as we can now officially plan for another season in the Premier League. 10

With 5 matches left to play, we only have 3 points less than the Puel team that finished 8th in 2017 and we are already far more points clear of the bottom 3 than his team was.

This is a big improvement on 2016-17 and in terms of recent performances almost on a par with the great team of 2015/16, which finished 6th.

A little bit over the top to compare them with the team of 2016 who had 63 points and a goal difference of plus 18, but we are moving in the right direction.

We are better than Puel's team, if we had Fonte and Van Dijk with this team all season we would probably have finished 6th

Just a shame that our home form has been so poor this season, but we live to fight another season and things look bright for the next campaign.

Have to agree with this.

Looking at the likes of Wolves and Sheffield United who are not much better then Saints.

It did annoy me last night when bbc kept saying Saints had nothing to play for when actually it was Manchester City who had nothing to play for. Saints can actually climb the table unlike Man City .

Safe from relegation and a odds on to be the south coasts top team after a couple of poor seasons .
