Why? We don't have to do anything re: Selles' contract. He is a long term employee of the club and is currently undertaking the role of head coach. Let's just see how things go. If he loses his next 4 games we may well try a last-ditch panic move like bringing in someone like Selles' managerial hero Benitez for the last 10 games.

I think this is the last ditch panic or we wouldn't have sacked two managers in three months.
If Saturday works, give Selles the job. There's a lot to be said for having a team of players that will give their all for you. The disappointment of him not getting the job may have an adverse affect on the players as well.
