Cullen and Ronald straight out of the side after the previous game. That's encouraging. Still have concerns about playing a midfield that "samey". I'd have swapped Stamenic for Widell.

Agreed
Widdell is dynamic and pulses energy
Exactly what we need
Looking at this Hull Stoke game shows how we lack any elan

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

We've started like we started on Tuesday, but have the goals to show for it.

Let's hope we don't finish like Tuesday.

WBA are kicking lumps out of anyone tricker than them. Franco, Inoussa and Eom taking a battering so far. Going to be a bit scrappy unless we can create more space.

Very lightweight and unimpressive.

As mentioned, Albion are dishing out some rough stuff and have succeeded in pushing us back for much of the time. I would be inclined to bring on a different option for Inoussa and try to get a bit of forward momentum. Otherwise I can see us coming under sustained pressure as the 2nd half goes on.

Leaving the score aside, we have shown much more energy this afternoon.

However, for my liking there is still too much faffing around the back which results in a long ball into midfield invariably ending up with a WBA player. I want to see that move from defence to midfield quicker. I’m sure that’s on the agenda.

It comes down to desire now. If each player out there wants it enough we’ll take the 3 points. If they lift off then we know what can happen.

Looks like WBA are making wholesale changes.

We will need to weather the early storm, keep it tight for 15 minutes and we have a chance.

WBA resorting to the dirty stuff and it has paid off for them. Somebody needs to give Mepham a discreet tap.

Edit: Too late

We are so easy to break down. And powderouff in areas.

Eom off now is good as is Inoussa. They aren’t physical enough.
