Defending too deep. We are going to rue the misses again by the looks of it.

| Swansea City v Birmingham City : Match day thread on 19:26 - Jan 17 with 1413 views | swansjack84 | The curse of Swans TV audio and video issues has returned. Completely ruined the game so today against Birmingham The commentary is ahead of the footage. And stream went off the website at the 70th minute. | | | |
| Swansea City v Birmingham City : Match day thread on 19:27 - Jan 17 with 1408 views | union_jack | Bloody awful second half. We looked clueless and AGAIN outmuscled in the midfield and hardly won a header. Had that game by the scruff of the neck but again didn’t take our chances and paid for some sloppy defence. The engines in some of those Birmingham players are huge though. Sprinting every time we had the ball in defence to close us down. Really disappointed after that sorry to say. | |

It's the same old story. We do not score enough goals. We played well and all we have is a point.

their squad depth is impressive and they signed another guy today and looking at another striker money is getting spent by them within the rules where we are limited on what we can spend

If we had another decent striker and a bit of luck we would have won that.

Considering the amount they have spent they flatter to deceive. The longer they stay in the championship the better and i will take great pleasure in them doing so. We should have 4 pts from both fixtures.

Same as last week, it looked like we took our foot off the gas and let them back into it We had no luck mind you , hit the woodwork 3 times and had as nailed on a penalty as you’re likely to see with the defender pulling the shirt AND wrestling our player to the ground, waved away by a crap ref who penalised a Swans player straight after for a much softer challenge How many cynical challenges did he let them off with ,at least half a dozen worthy of a yellow card But our own fault for backing off second half, taking Zan off was very negative,I know we’ve got a game on Tuesday and there’s no backup but we stood a better chance of winning the game with him on We have to stop letting teams back in to games , that’s 2 in a row that were there for the taking,it can’t go on
| Swansea City v Birmingham City : Match day thread on 20:13 - Jan 17 with 1175 views | Dr_Winston | Got to be disappointed not to win that given the chances we created. Don't agree that it was an "awful" second half, but it wasn't as good as the first, especially once we started making subs. Fine header against the crossbar aside, Cullen simply can't play the lone striker role. He's not strong enough or good enough on the ball. It was noticeable how many passes into their half were sticking up there with ZV and coming straight back at us with Cullen. If Wales is off on loan then we will need an alternative to Vipi on loan. Otherwise there was still stuff to be pleased about. There were four or five moves of really nice, one touch passing. Franco was outstanding first half. As was Eom. Fulton probably my MOTM just for sheer bravery sticking his head in where it hurt twice, and being perhaps the only 90 minute performance on the pitch for us. | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Absolutely, took our foot off the gas. Let them score when warning signs were there. Should have killed the game. Yes we were dogshite second half. To answer your question, don’t take our foot off the gas, don’t let them score when the warning signs were there and Mr Sad will be happy. Being a swans fan and all that, wanting the swans to win. We did not take our foot off the gas, we tired. Any team that puts in the effort we did in the first half will see a drop off. The game should have been out of sight by halftime our finishing let us down again. They scored just after we made substitutions, we lost the physicality and strength of Vipotnik and Widell, Cullen and Yalcouye are a long way off the quality they replaced. We were not dogshite, we were just not as good as an excellent first half.
