Glad we had the luxury of taking off key players on Tuesday ahead of this, with Carlisle not playing midweek. Feel like we could do with an early goal in this one to put a bit of unrest among a large away following.
In other news - Gateshead v Braintree off already, as is Woking v Boreham Wood.

Hughes is apparently using Ryan Galvin as a source of information on our tactics and how we set up......which is a good thing really as he appeared to be in his own little World when he played for us!!

I’m not sure that Galvin was here when Mani D was fit and available for a start. It’s hardly a secret how Dale setup and play - and I would have thought that Hughes’s analysis team could do that job!

Listening to this Hughes has already accepted his team wont have much of the ball today.
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
Trying to remember where Galvin was supposedly rubbish for us, as some seem to think that.
He played 4 games for us.
Eastleigh away. Sub for last 13 minutes at 2-0 up. Finished 2-0 up. Altrincham away: 3-0 win. Morecambe away - played full game alongside Waller - can’t remember any gaffs. 2-1 win Hartlepool. Replaced Pritchard at HT (who had been battered by their RB for 45 minutes) Second half was a very different story.

I dont think anyone has said he was rubbish. He was just a quite average left back. Nowhere near the levels of Beckwith or Perry.

Quite.
I'm not a maestro, far from it, but I just engage my brain before posting.

Eastleigh was at home.
He also played at Leamington in the FA Trophy.
DDB's analysis is spot on.

Not sure that’s right. Hughes was there on Tuesday so he’ll be making his own mind up.

Not very enthusiastic is he, old Sparky?
Interesting to hear him say they won't be pressing from the off. Sounds like they are going to go for the "low block" and let us have the ball, which I think tends to suit us (cf. Hartlepool, York), but I've been wrong before.

That suggests to me that he’d be happy with a draw. Incidentally, having seen the size of their team coach on social media, I hope Forest Green “park the bus” at York.

Burger was excellent in the last game, surely he must be injured.
He played well at Gateshead a few weeks ago then missed out on a place in the squad for a couple of games before returning against Southend. Barlow himself has been out of the matchday squad on occasions.
There is obviously a meticulous plan in place around who plays and when. I wouldn’t have started Moss today, but will back the choices 100% at this stage as they’ve earnt that trust and forgiveness around the odd mistake.

As Rosenior the new Chelsea coach said the other day, there's no such thing as my First XI
