Interesting, especially about their main threat being a right-wingback Our left side is the one area which remains relatively unsettled, when everyone's fit. We have Allarakhia who obviously is more a threat and in decent form right now but weaker on the defensive side of things. Galvin on loan is an unknown but with Beckwith at the back the issue is whether JM opts to try to nullify Southend or takes the game to them Another option could be Burger, but my preference would be start with Pritchard in that wide role and leave Allarakhia till later in the game if needed. If Pritchard can stay fit, he'd be the last piece in the jigsaw |

That last hour was certainly worth listening to! |

Whilst never doubting our capacity to throw away a platform, at *tea* it looks far better than seemed possible after Starc's first two overs Don't like these day/night tests, just an unnecessary gimmick with conditions too variable once the lights come on |

If the agreement reached with the Ogdens over use of facilities includes "a playing surface fit for purpose", then absolutely not Let's not start that game again, of looking to revive old resentments, just as our new owners look to have things under control. Besides, why further complicate an already complex issue? Leave things be |

Supporters Trust membership is in decline, with several recent resignations from membership. This simply wouldn't be happening with a healthy Trust You're absolutely correct about those gifting the Golden Share taking steps which won't allow those in temporary positions at the Trust to take any actions based on lack of transparency and communication The word "complacency" cropped up in the article about Exeter. We must remain eternally vigilant |

“Trust members will be watching closely to make sure that transparency and accountability don’t slip. This is a supporter-owned club, and the fans must have a genuine voice and meaningful role in how it’s run.” Amen to that |

I was referring to your thinking process Very "trying" * * an English verb, although used here as an adjective [Post edited 30 Nov 16:41]

Couldn't be there today but very pleasing to see the lads maintain their momentum. Well done all (management included) and on to Southend Oddly enough, i'm currently staying about 20 miles from Eastleigh so if the fixture had been switched i'd have been there |

Actually, just trying thinking That'll be plenty hard enough for you |

Mani, i told you earlier Perhaps you need telling things twice? |
 | Forum Reply | Scott Quigley at 10:23 29 Nov 2025
To be fair, Mani fits the bill you're after, sometimes to a fault, but he can play too Where do you get that "solely" from? [Post edited 29 Nov 10:26]

That's precisely what they're for That's why i upvoted since i agreed with his continuing concerns, although i probably wouldn't have done so without the downvote which i thought was unfair I made direct reference to why i thought he was right in subsequent posts Difference of opinion |

Not sure TS, but at least no blue blood was spilt |

He was challenged, both via a post in response and via a downvote, which i nullified He was simply saying in his own way what both you and i are saying in these exchanges, in a more detailed way |

"...we simply have to start winning at the COA when we play the big games." That validates the point i'm making, which, when we cut through all the noise, is what matters. The two key "big" games at the COA so far, York in the cup and the Halifax cross-border derby, we lost them. Southend will be a good indicator of whether our resolve is stronger at home, although the 1-0 against Aldershot after getting turned over at York was a good hint I'm enjoying our football much more, which is also valid Edit: your point about the York cup game is precisely where i'm at, and not sure why Bluevein was challenged earlier in the thread when the evidence regarding such games at home remains "the jury is out" [Post edited 28 Nov 10:07]

I expect us to win the lesgue If we don't, we've got (almost certainly) playoff fixtures. If we come through them, at that point the claims being made about "learning" will be validated, but not a minute before, and certainly not now |

Whilst i agree with most of that, especially the recruitment both on and off the pitch, like Bluevein, i'll reserve judgement until push really comes to shove at the stage where it really matters, in the Spring In the meantime, pleased with the progress this season and believe we should be looking to take that further in a way which means there won't be a "crunch" fixture at the very end. We know who we're scheduled to play on the last day of the season [Post edited 27 Nov 16:11]

This is true, but the speculation isn't helped by JM alluding to something being sorted fairly soon, just a week or so ago |

Just seeking clarity You've never been known to bore me to death, so it was worth asking Might be room for a "Spot the Difference" competition... |
