Not just because of his dominant performance against a good Swansea side, but, because he takes responsibility when he plays. His reaction after the Lincoln game was spot on. He just kept repeating 'We've got to step up'. He was referring to the Birmingham game as well.

We now have probably four midfield players, who when fit, can cover over 12 kilometres a game. So we should not be conceding the centre of the park tom any team in this division, including West Ham next time we meet.

I think his honesty in the interview after the Lincoln game was refreshing' What he said was spot on and I don't think it's a coincidence that the side stepped up a gear against Swansea.

Agree 100%.
Flynn Downes acts like a leader unlike Slack Jack.
FD has been a revelation when wearing the captains armband.
We do have numerous leader in the side now fron back to front.
Peretz is verbal & an organiser.
Sletterbeck is commanding & a leader
With FD & JWP in midfield we have energetic leaders.
Up front Cyle Larin is a strong character.
Not forgetting Leo's enthusiasm & skill plus Finn's quality.
That's not a bad backbone to the team.
