RM has stuck with the same starting eleven today against Watford. Leaving both Bedders & Stuart Armsttong on the bench.
Stephen's will be our leader again today, just hope he can lead us to 3 vital points |

Now I am convinced that RM is clueless.
For tonight's match he's made room for JS by benching our best defender Bedders.
To make things even worse he prefers to play Smallbone before Stuey Armstrong..

Jack Stephen's again trying to clone himself into John Stones, the only similarity is the initials (JS).
He's not a good ctr back so now he's trying to be the destroyer / creator in midfield.
This just cannot be a decision made by RM, if it is then he's a even worse manager than we all think he is.
Stephen's just wandering about in midfield getting in the way of others & leaving the left back position completely open.
That convinces me that Stephen's is now selecting the team & giving himself a game every week.
I've said it before & get bored of thinking it, RM is not the man to take us up & would never keep us there even if we did go up.

With what's going on at the club promotion to the best league in the World would be a disaster..
We don't have any Premier league players in our Squad so we would take an awful bashing most weeks so I dread the thought of going up this season.
RM is not capable of taking us up so he has no chance of keeping us in Premier Lge.
The Majority of Leicester & Leeds players could hold their own in the Premier lge, should we get there.we just do not have enough quality or the funds to finance some decent signings.
That's why I personally think it'll be Leicester & Leeds that go up automatically.
It looks like we'll scrape into the play offs but will not be good enough to win them.
Destined for another season in Championship will be very tough because of our current squad our best players will move on or
go back to their parent clubs.

As good as Prowsy was for us for many years he is now finding it difficult at West Ham.
After being hooked off at half time against Burnley he's now been benched for the last 2 matches.
His specialist free kicks are no longer working, why.
West Ham have more quality players than we had in Premier Lge so Prowsy has to up his game or end up on the bench.
He's no longer considered by Southgate for England.
What a waste we could have used him this season. |

They really are over achieving with their limited squad but will make automatic promotion difficult for both Leicester & Leeds & virtually impossible for Saints. |

Apparently RM has said that he let Perraud go because he didn't suit the style of play that he wanted from his players.
Oh, I get it, Perraud wasn't so good at playing loose passes or giving the ball away or getting caught out of position as Manning is. |

Just looked at the list of our players contracts.
What's worrying is that all of our best players could leave this summer.( HWB + RF + FD +DB + JR + CA apologies if I've missed some)
But what's more worrying is the players that are on contract until 2027 are the following.
Manning + Bazuna + Sulemane + Charles.
The phrase deadwood comes to mind. |

I said in a previous post that it appears that
RM is cloning Nathan Jones by pampering up to the players.
He's come out now & said that he made a big mistake by dropping AA for a couple of games.
AA was very upset about being left on the bench but he was out of form & it was not a mistake to drop him.
You'd expect any pro footballer to be upset if not playing but RM should not pamper to him & play him just because he's not happy at being benched.
It makes me wonder if RM is picking his team based on his relationship with them rather than their ability or form.
That may account for why he keeps shoe Horning Jack Stephen's into the side.
Alright because we're desperately short of defenders right now & he has to play JS but there have been numerous games that a place was made for JS at the expense of others. He's even consistently playing JS out of position just to shoe horn him in.

Joe Tessem who I liked as a player & now as a pundit has made comments about Sekou Mara being too slow to be a good striker.
Not sure about that Joe, just consider some of the best strikers we've had over the years including Martin Chivers / Ron Davies / Alan Shearer / Rickie Lambert none of them were blessed with blistering pace in fact Mara is probably quicker & more mobile than all of them.
Not saying Mara is in the same lge as those mentioned but it just proves that if you're good enough you can get by without being quick (eg. MLT). But having pace is a big asset but speed of thought & a good football brain are both more essential.
Mara has had a difficult intro to English football & he has struggled but of late their have been green shoots.
He's a young man still learning & is definitely improving with game time.
What he has got is a good attitude & that'll help.

I hope I'm wrong but I worry about team for tonight against WBA.
It appears that neither FD or CA are fit so RM has had to find a solution.
He's shoehorned Jack Stephen's in tonight, can only assume he'll play at Right Back switching KWP to left back.
If we get anything from this game it'll be a bonus.
Mara leading the front line makes it look lightweight but RM is limited for choice in the position (as we have been for the last few years). |

Not sure if it's a coincidence or evidence that KWP wants away.
His form was very poor at start of this season after the summer transfer window closed, I think he was expecting & hoping to move to a Premier Club.
Same has happened again he has looked very disinterested & out of form since the recent Transfer Window closed, he needs to get his head straight & be grateful he's playing in a team that's winning & playing with lots of confidence.
He can be playing Premier Lge with us next season if he & the rest of the lads keep getting results. |

Well we've done incredibly well to make up the deficit & go into 2nd place.
Question is can we stay there.
It could go to the wire & the last game of season against Leeds could be the decider as to who goes up automatically.
I hope not my nerves won't take it, just hope we've put it to bed before then. |

Thread | David Brooks coming in.

Apparently we've got David Brooks on loan until the end of the season.
That is a brilliant signing, he is quality & deserves to be playing regularly.
It might take him a while to adjust to our possession style football & he might have to track back more than he's had to at Bournemouth but he is great on the ball & very creative.
Just hope it's true that we've got him.
