Pleading with Premier League clubs to play English youngsters, or he'll have to resort to looking at Championship players because his pool is so small. How desperate can you get...if these youngsters were good enough, they'd be selected. Also, how does this fit with Mawson's claim that Southgate told him to leave us (where he was a regular) and join a Prem club (eg to warm the bench at Fulham) if he wanted an England career. |
| Forum Thread | Magic number in the Championship? at 08:08 20 Aug 2018
We've been using the 40pt "safety total" for the past 7 seasons as a minimum target. Statistically, what's the (assumed) magic number in the Championship? How's about if we say 46/38 x 40 = 48pts? If we beat Leeds, we'll be 5th the way there after just 4 games 😊 COYY(oung)JB's |

Early days I know, but things are already looking ominous, we're 3rd from bottom...and we haven't kicked a ball yet. |

Is GP aiming to have the youngest squad in the Championship with loads of pace? Would make a refreshing change after the past few seasons 😠Roll on 4th August |

...and assumption its in the bag which has been promoted by the English media must this time be reaching an all time high. Its the usual mix of arrogance, delusion and desperation for a modicum of success that every other nationality associates with the English (nice one Goran Ivanisovic). Does failure after failure after failure justify this inflated bandwagon? It's fine to be optimistic, but why go banging on about it so much! ITS COMING HOME, ITS COMING HOME..... What if it doesn't 😠|
| Forum Thread | England win a game.... at 08:57 19 Jun 2018
...at the World Cup against a very poor side. And (once again) the players & media behave as if they've already lifted the Cup. Is this due to accumulated desperation from 52 years of repeated failures at WCs & Euros? Wouldn't it be better to keep some perspective in order to soften the inevitable disappointment that's just around the corner when they meet some quality. Or why not over-react and enjoy a win against poor opposition, whilst the going's good? Unlike the media, my English mates have decided to keep a lid on it, as they know their football. |

...more Icelandic-type humiliation for England in Russia? Tunisia? Panama? Surely not! Belgium? We always beat Belgium, so should be a doddle for Southgate & co 😜 |

Get extra large advertising boards put behind the goalmouths and play our "secret weapon" Renato....he's bound to score a scorcher or two. (I'm just trying to release some of the tension that's building up). |
| Forum Thread | Tom Carroll & Tammy Abraham at 17:39 31 Mar 2018
Both woeful against Spurs. Both more than decent 2nd half today. Tom's distribution was impressive. Tammy very unlucky twice against De Gea. Inconsistency rules! Oh, yeah, and why do we sit back & admire these "big" teams, give them a head start and only then decide its time to get in their phucking faces!!! |

31pts + 0 - Man Utd A. 1 - West Brom A. (Jordan back) 3 - Everton H. 3 - Southampton H. 0 - Man City A (or a shock point if title won & they're still in CL). 0 - Chelsea H. 1 - Bournemouth A. 3 - Stoke H. 42 points. .........and breath 😠|
| Forum Thread | Whingeing Aussies (not Poms) at 13:50 13 Mar 2018
Its been really funny watching tiny Eddie Jones whingeing in the wake of England's 2 defeats in the 6 Nations. The bloke doesn't seems to realise that his pre-tournament "plan for world domination" is a brilliant motivational speech for the opposition. Now we have an Aussie called Mooy (who, I hear you ask?) saying we're the most defensive team he's ever come across in Europe. Complete & utter plum. |
| Forum Thread | FA Cup Final at 08:35 28 Feb 2018
If Rochdale fail to win tonight it will be our destiny to knock Spurs out in the QF because we can't have one team playing the FA Cup Final on their home ground, just wouldn't be fair. Swans 3-2 Spurs (or Swans 6-1 Rochdale) 😠|

| Forum Thread | 14th/15th? at 13:59 11 Feb 2018
14th Palace 27pts & GD -17. 15th Swans 27pts & GD -17. So, what decides this? Is it goals FOR? It can't be number of wins, because we have 7 and Palace have 6. |
| Forum Thread | FA Cup team selection? at 04:10 11 Feb 2018
If (no, when!) we beat Sheffield Wednesday, do you think Carlos will be tempted to select the Premier League team for the Quarter Final? It falls on the same weekend as the Southampton game (17 March) which would therefore have to be re-scheduled. [Post edited 11 Feb 2018 4:11]

The Spanish Copa Del Rey with Sevilla (unused sub against Leganes last night). A bit of a consolation for missing a trip to Wembley in May |
