Ticketing and Matchday Information For The Return To St Mary's
got 5 mates who were either successful in ballot or in one of the priority groups, who live in Tier 3 areas, and now unable to attend tomorrow, I hope club selects other fans to take their places, hope the Club allocates / re-issues these tickets to other season ticket holders
Jan Bednarek Has To Be Kept Away From The Opposition Goal After Bizarre Stat Emerges !
Where’s my acknowledgement for pointing this fact out to you.
Just a bad day at the office on 11:25 - Nov 30 with 158 views SalisburySaint
Not sure why anyone got their hopes up too much yesterday, Bednarek has now scored three times v Chelsea, Wolves and now Man Utd.
On each occasion Saints have gone 2-0 up and finished up losing 3-2
I was aware watching game yesterday of first two results when he had scored , but hoping for third time lucky, but no to be.
Should have put a sneaky bet on at 2-0 up as sure the odds would have been pretty good.
Saints Injury Worry For Newcastle Game Is Not The One You Would Think !
"Not making him a 'scapegoat' but.......
Common factor in Saints leaking goals - Jack Stephens. His name crops up in virtually every game that the team has conceded."
people have short memories, we didn't seem to have many issues at the end of last season after the restart when he was playing, but a poor game against Spurs and its knifes out for him.,
Saints At Aston Villa The Verdict
To be fair to McCarthy whose second half performance was superb, I thought we was unsighted by Stephens (if you see angle from behind the goal) for the Grealish goal and by the time he saw it, it was too late to react. As regards second half think Armstrong should have given KWP more assistance as he was often left one on one with Grealish, when as their main man we should have been doubling up. Still can't complain with a magnificent performance for the majority of the game, that's 4-2, 3-1 and 4-3 wins in our last three games at Villa, we certainly seem to like playing there, unbeaten in six games since our return to the premier league.
Saints Reveal Financial Cost To Club Of Lockdown
Good assessment of meeting/ focus Nick
Was good to see how open they were and gave a lot of commercially sensitive information they didn’t need to, and didn’t shy away from any questions as Politicians would
Loyalty Has To Count When Fans Return To Stadiums !
Totally agree with you Nick, particularly about the small group of supporters who’ve not missed a game in years.
Especially those who’ve not even missed preseason friendliest, they should be guaranteed a ticket for every game
Even if you set tickets aside for these groups there would still be plenty of tickets available for other season ticket holders in ballot
Lallana Linked With A St Mary's Return
Lallana i believe still has a house at Ringwood, so this could make a return to Saints a bit more attactive, especially as he'd be back near family
if wages not too excessive i'd take him back, he'd useful addition to squad and alternatve for either Armstrong or Redmond should the need arrise.
Saints Guaranteed 12th Place ! But What If !
As others have said after Leicester game, most would have settled with 12th place
When I attended the Man City Cup and league away games in the week after, and went to both fearing more drubbings, but the spirit was back in the team despite 3-1 and 2-1 defeats.
But after a poor performance against Everton, Ralph and his coaches must have sat down during the International Break and reviewed out tactics.
The game against Arsenal was the start of the revival, in a game we should of won, we ditched 5 at the back and moved to 4 4 2 and immediately looked a better team. Despite letting in a late
Goal my mates and I were all much more positive after this game, and I proved to be the turning point.
After they game Saints who in past few seasons had been terrible against supposed top 6 teams, got wins agains Spurs, Chelsea Leicester and Man City, but most importantly did doubles over Watford, Norwich and Villa
A few decent signing and I think next season will be a good one
Dont Blame Southampton FC For Project Restart !
Fully agree we what you say, just can’t get interested in German or other football, but looking to seeing Saints play on TV
But as you say football for me, most of my mates and a lot of others nowadays is about the day out associated with the game rather than just the match itself and that’s what I miss.
On This Day In History - 14th May 1977 A Trip To The Seaside
Was a memorable trip Nick, I was on one of two coaches run by Bernie and Rolly, the forerunners of Clive’s coaches, got picked up around midnight in Salisbury, hardly got any sleep on way up then like you football on the beach, a breakfast in cafe, a couple of pints (all I could afford before game), avoiding missiles in ground and then Wolves fans in pubs afterwards and back on coach at 9am getting home in early hours and recovering the next day. Look back in fondness to days like this.
Is The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium As Good As It Looks ?
there was a third bar on lower concourse by entrance to Block 114 which was really quiet before the game but busy at half time
the catering was excellent several of us tried to pies whihc were £3.50 a top quality
we went to Northumberland Rd afterwards a got second train out of there at around 5.19, but made the mistake of getting off at Tottenham Hale to get Victoria Line but were made to go out of station and join another queue, but even so we managed to get back to Paddington just in time for 18.15 train back
Special Trains Confirmed For Pompey Game
6.10pm leave form Southampton, so this judging by previous train trips down this should get to Fratton around 7.45pm in ground for half time
Pompey Game Will Not Be A Bubble
Totally agree about the trains as i missed kick off both times
one advantage of not having the bubble is that fans from Isle of Wight and further away have the chance to get to the game under their own steam and thosee for instance in London might be able to get train home, which was unlikely if that had to come back to Southmpton as last train is 11Pm
