Pompey's Top Fan Refused Entry To St Mary's
at 15:44:52

Yes, Clayton, he's the one who's incontinent.

If he wore a nappy or incontinence pants to control his problem maybe he'll be allowed in but not dressed in his Pompey clown outfit.

Manchester United No Longer The Big Attraction To Saints Fans
at 11:56:02

It's also worth noting that to give fans with a previous purchase history priority , they have made it impossible for new members to but tickets for the first two home games, which is why black market tickets have been selling on sites like StubHub for £200.

You only have to look at the ticket site, to see it's going to be yet another sell out. The Club prices the tickets to JUST sell out, not to have thousands left clamouring for tickets weeks before the game. Hence the £65 ticket price.

Saints At Burnley The Verdict
at 10:37:32

Jose Fonte captained his Lille team to yet another victory yesterday. They had the best defensive record in the French League last season and are through to the Champions League group stage. What a great leader he has been for them. Pity he fell out with Les Reed but then who didn't?

Saints Reject Lemina Bid
at 15:16:19

Probably the right thing to do to hold out for a permanent deal now. We need to get rid of him permanently. We certainly don't want to get stuck with him going out on loan every year like Clasie.

Are Saints Ready To Smash Their Transfer Record ?
at 11:42:03

Les Reed's role at the club was vastly overrated. He was never much more than a head salesman and PR spokesman (at least when things were going well. Ralph Krueger was wheeled out to take the flak when things were going badly).

The fact nobody had to be brought in to replace him shows how little he really did.

The key man responsible for finding the talented players was our head of recruitment, Paul Mitchell. The last off the Mitchell conveyor belt was van Dijk, who, even though he signed later, we were strongly linked with before Mitchell left. Mitchell's replacement and Les Reed's young protege, Ross Wilson, is nowhere near as good at the job. In fact the average fan could have done a better job than he has.

It's worth looking at this. Our transfer activity over the last few years looks remarkably similar to Cardiff, Huddersfield and Fulham's:

Saints Agree Fee For Winger ! Medical Scheduled
at 14:07:11

underweststand, I don't think anyone will think £10 million is a lot for a Premier League club to pay nowadays. Most clubs routinely buy players costing £20 million +. Even Bournemouth pay that much. I guess the £20 million we're paying for Ings will be our big buy of the summer though. Let's hope Ross Wilson has turned into a genius at spotting bargains, and not more dross like Elyounoussi, Carrillo and Hoedt.

An £8 million bidding war with Norwich and Burnley. We really have hit the big time. Gao is still struggling to pay his loan back then.

Saints Signing Another Keeper Surely Not !
at 15:08:20

I guess he's been bought as an investment to be sold for profit. That's the way the club's transfer policy operates, although since Paul Mitchell left, nobody at the club has been very good at talent spotting. In fact Ross Wilson seems to be worse than the average fan at it.

Cedric's Season Gets Worse
at 15:49:11

I see Jose Fonte is in the Portugal squad for the Nations League Finals. He is closing in on his 40th international cap and could well add a Nations League winner's medal to his European Championship winner's medal.

He was also voted the best central defender in the fans Ligue 1 Team of the Year and captained his Lille team to the runners-up spot and Champions League qualification, with the best defensive record in the league.

Manager Claims Saints Deal Is Close !

If Ross's recent record is anything to go by, he is probably going to pay far too much for him. Standard Liege paid just £45k for him less than 2 years ago.

Manager Claims Saints Deal Is Close !

halftimeorange, there is still hope: football didn't die when Bury beat Derby 6-0 in the 1903 FA Cup Final and when Man City were in the Third Division just 20 years ago, their fans probably thought they'd never be able to compete with United or even us. Teams are constantly moving up and down the leagues.

In My LIfetime - Where The Blue Have Been Few !
at 16:41:27

Saint Brock, if you go farther back, Saints' dominance is even more pronounced. Pompey didn't even exist for the first 13 years of our history, whilst in their early years, we were one of the top teams in the country. We have probably been above Pompey in at least 90 years of our history.

SaintBrock, he didn't. He's made it very clear that next season will be our 43rd in the top flight and that Pompey had 33 seasons in the top flight, most of them more than 70 years ago.

Saints also have much bigger average attendances than Pompey all-time, not just in the last 60 years.

Pompey have been below us in the league for the majority of their history but, admittedly, the gap between us has grown much bigger in recent decades.

Would Adam Lallana Be Welcomed Back To St Mary's ?
at 13:50:23

It's up to Ralph. Whoever he decides will strengthen our team is fine by me and will have my full support.

The Les Reed PR 'leaks' stirred up a lot of negative feelings towards nearly all of the players and managers he got rid of and some of that mud has stuck. Hopefully, now that Reed has gone, a lot of that negativity and dishonesty has too. Ralph has been honest about the fact that the club needs to sell players, whereas Reed never was, and tried to convince fans that we wanted to keep them and that they were only being sold because of their greed, not the owners'.

Greek Club Interested In Saints High Earner !
at 19:10:21

We're talking about the Greek league.

The biggest fee Olympiacos paid for a player last year was £2 mill. They get most of their players on free transfers or for a few hundred thousand. As I said, it's likely to be a straight swap for one of their Moroccan Norwegian players, Elabdellaoui, who was on loan to Hull before.

We've been rumoured to be interested in signing one of their Moroccan Norwegian players, Omar Elabdellaoui, for a long time so an exchange might be in the offing. They might also throw in another one, Tarik Elyounoussi, who they've been trying to offload for a while. He's been out on loan in Azerbaijan,

Ralph Krueger Departure ! The Reaction !

As was the case with Reed, you don't notice how little someone was doing until after they're gone. Similarly, the country would probably be run a lot better if Theresa May left and wasn't replaced by anyone.
