I agree Nick, that performance at Leeds was good. Against a tough team (who were obviously falling apart)
Unlike nearly everyone - I have a lot of time for Jack Stephens. Sure, you see errors mote so than the other two CB but, in these massive games, you need characters and big voices
I like 5 at the back- we're a little bit more protected in the middle, and it pushes the full backs out wider, meaning we are not seeing so many free crosses going in-which has done my head in this season.
Also agree about forwards- Ross only as back up- its too risky |

We had plenty of notice to buy tickets- it was always going to sell out.
What do you want them to do, sell the hospitality tickets for £25 with no food?
I'll be at both legs, and I'm thankful to be there, but its after spending a lot of money supporting them. But its my choice, years when I haven't got money, I go less. Or hardly at all.

I feel we are chasing Leicester- They've been so far clear all season , this is the first time they have been drawn intuit least a whiff of a battle.

Drawing Leicester in is not impossible. Due to their brilliant start, they haven't really been under pressure. A couple more poor results and they will start to feel the heat. Having two spots to chase down would be better.

Sorry- I disagree-You are playing at home, where fans have paid to support- outside of their season tickets too.
By all means make changes- but you try and win. And then you go to Liverpool, and you try and beat them. Beacuse next year, thats exactly what MAY be what we'll be doing- playing Premier league clubs.
We seem to be coping very well with the fixtures coming thinking fast- so we go for the win- and try our luck at Anfield.

Ings is a good punt.
Probably more than happy as an impact sub, at a club he thrived at. He's got a good footballing brain, and will have the technical ability to fit in with Martin's style.
Apart from that, no real need to dip in.
I feel Che will head off, but I wish him well, and hope he flourishes elsewhere. If he stays, great, as he has a good attitude, and works harder than his goal tally.

I'm not sure theres a huge desire to focus on fans.
I think they are forced to by the lack of Prem status
If we were to get back we would be last on their minds.
But were far from the worst at this.
If you're a fan of a club with a 5 + year wait for a season ticket, you are not going to be wooed like Saints or other smaller clubs.
Thankfully for them, I keep coming back for more punishment as do the rest of us, and I love it, even the dross we get served!

As a STH going o most away games too,I understand the frustration.
But actually booing your own team, I will never do.
Its so counter productive
I'm not a happy clappy light show bollocks type,I just realise its causing us issues.
RM cant come out and say it, but he's alluding to the fact the players are scared shitless to make any mistakes at home.
Having said that- a couple of wins and it will change, the same booing fans will be kissing badges and hailing their heroes soon enough.
On a footballing level, I think its time for those that stayed to get their heads down and realise they are Championship players - were not the big boys everyone seems to think we are-just play each game as it comes, and give it your best.
We need a few big voices in there- lacking at the moment.

Got to give him PLENTY of time- lots to sort out,and its a long long season.
We won't really be able to gauge untilNovember/ December
I haven't seen us I any of the friendlies, but looking at the clips, I think we look ok.
Really looking forward to Friday, and seeing how we look competitively
We also have to learn to win again, after a terrible season as players and fans.
A couple of good home wins and St Marys will come alive I'm sure!

Theres a lot of talent in our squad, and the Championship will mean more chances, more time on the ball.
The Premier league you'll be doing well to get two or three clear chances, and you'll see more in this league.

If the club was 'fully committed' to the environment, we would change kits less often. Encouraging kids to change their kits every year- even buying two ot three is hardy responsible.
That said- its ok looking

It's the same for most players, its a punt unless you're owned by a Middle East country.
You can spend a lot on one player who does nothing and get a cheap player in who gels.
My feeling is AA needs a change of scene.I like is work rate, and maybe he would bash out 20 goals.I feel we wouldn't give him time.
Also,I would hope we are dominating teams rather than sitting back, and I think he serves better on the break.
I wouldn't be upset if he stayed, because I think you are right, he works really hard, but I don't think he is gonna be the one. |
