Saints Aim To Make Up Ground On Leaders
Thursday, 6th Nov 2014 14:54

Saints have the chance to make up ground on the top spot in the Premier League with leaders Chelsea facing a tricky away game on Saturday.

Chelsea start of the weekends Premier proceedings with a trip to Liverpool for the lunchtime kick off on Saturday, Saints fans will be hoping for a draw, a result that will not only enable their side to make up ground on Chelsea should we beat Leicester City but would also enable us to put even more points between us and Liverpool.

This would perhaps be the best result overall but the reality is that any result will aid us in our quest for glory should we of course win our game.

With other sides sound us having extremely winnable gems it is very important that we do beat Leicester, Man City are away to QPR, a game they should easily win, West Ham are at home to Villa, Spurs are at home to Stoke and Man Utd host Palace and only Arsenal look to have a toughie with a trip to Swansea City.

Therefore Saints have. keep the pressure on by making sure that we do our job by hunting down the Foxes and getting three point on the board, as long as we keep winning then the onus is on our rivals to keep us in sight.

I think Chelsea win beat Liverpool convincingly.

However I can see City slipping up away at QPR to round off a horrible week for them - potentially more distance between us and 3rd. Arsenal aren't guaranteed 3 points away at Swansea either by the way, I happen to think Swansea have been the best team we faced this year.

its a great game.

For some reason I worry it's going to be a tough game against Leicester, and that we may only get a point. I guess it's just 'saints fan syndrome' in that I'm always expecting it to go pear-shaped.

I don't think anyone will catch Chelsea and City will prove too strong over the course of the season. The best chance of sneaking a top 4 spot is if these two teams beat all of the traditional top sides so that the points for the rest are fewer than usual, then hope there are lots of draws amongst our rivals.
