Saints Get A Quick One In Tuesday, 21st Jul 2015 09:36 Saints squeeze in a low key friendly against KVV Quick 1920 as part of their mini tour of Holland this evening. Between the Eridivisie big guns of Feyenoord & Groningen Saints take on KVV Quick 1920 tonight in a friendly that will see a few of the youth and fringe players given a run out. Quick are an amateur side who play in the 2nd tier of Dutch amateur football with the game taking place in the Sportpark Vondersweijde, which has a capacity of 6,500. This will give Ronald Koeman a chance to rest his big guns and let his fringe players have a run out with several youngsters looking for the chance to impress and perhaps give the manager something to think about in the coming weeks. Koeman himself might privately have been hoping that the upcoming Europa League games might have afforded him this chance if Saints had drawn one of the weaker teams in the draw, but the reality is that he will now need to be putting out his strongest team against Vitesse and therefore this friendly against Quick will now take on increased importance so that he not only avoids over playing his first choice team, but that he gets the fringe into action.
