With Southampton playing on Friday evening this weekend many Saints supporters will be at a loose end on Saturday afternoon. So why not pop along to one of the local non league sides, AFC Totton offer cheap admission to Saints season ticket holders.

On Saturday afternoon 26th February the Stags as AFC Totton are known. take on Willand Rovers at the Snows Stadium with a 3pm kick off.

Non league football is a great way to introduce youngsters to the experience of a live match and The Snows Stadium with its covered stands and terracing on all four sides gives the impression that it is a football stadium rather than a pitch with railings around it.

As it stands Totton stand 4th in the Southern League Division 1 South table, but with games in hand over the three clubs in front of them, they are very much in the frame for winning the division and gaining promotion automatically.

Willand Rovers are a club based near Exeter in Devon and sit squarely in mid table, so the Stags will be hoping to take all three points from this game.

Usually an adult ticket is £10, but if you show your season ticket then you can get in for only £6, so being less than the cost of 1 1/2 pints these days, that is a big reduction.

But tickets for kids are also very cheap without the need for a season ticket, children under 13 are free with the 13-17 age group only £6.

That makes it very affordable for families to go and watch football.

Visiting the Snows Stadium is like going back to the good old days when you could stand on the terracing and watch a game with your mates and you can also get a beer and drink it watching the game at this level.

Plenty of food available as well so overall it is a great day out and a chance to get back to the grass roots, something that is lost in the Premier League.
