Whilst on an case by case basis you could argue that a university educated individual is not necessarily more intelligent than a non-university educated individual. But on a big scale sample (thousands of people), its hard to refute that university educated people are not more intelligent than non-university educate people. Intelligent people will want more fulfilling and well paid jobs, and on the whole, to get those jobs you need to be highly educated. Universities also have entrance criteria to weed out the less intelligent people.
Another point is that intellectual capacity only gets you so far, if your brain isn't challenged through education then you won't be intelligent. I can never be as strong or big as Schwarzenegger, but if Arnie never set foot in a gym then i could be.

Get your facts straight, although I know it's not brexiters strong point.
1) I said "on average, the educational achievements of leave voters are significantly less than remain voters" 2) you said, "prove it" 3) I did.
I didn't mention intelligence. intelligence can be measured in many different ways.
Whilst there are certainly intelligent people who haven't achieved academically, from what I recall of my days at comp, the thick as pig shit kids tended to get bugger all qualifications and the clever kids generally got lots of o levels, A levels and went on to university. There are always exceptions and outliers.
I know intelligent people who voted leave, invariably they are either racist , bigoted or xenophobic or in the case of a close family member suffering from dementia.
