I can only think the firm might be a consultancy or a management company rather than an actual shipper that doesn’t own ships. Worryingly, the government are bypassing the tender process in awarding these contracts because there isn’t enough time to do it properly. Perfect conditions for crooks to operate.

People trafficking is a fairly serious crime. These criminals cram people on a boat barely fit for the local swimming pool and push them out into the busiest shipping lane in the world without a care or a thought for their lives or safety.

One of the officials is a guy called Peter Hampton Blackmore who has links to a number of different companies, a lot of them appear to be connected with the law, there are 6 other shareholders some of whom have links to maritime activities. The rest of the money went to DFDS and Brittany Ferries who are established companies.
