OUT WITH A DEAL EATING OUR CAKE AND LOVING IT suck it up remoaners
And like a typical anti democracy remoaner he decided the will of the people should be ignored the minute the democratic result was in total fecking hypocrite 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Despite it being voted in to law by the commons the spineless two faced remoaner MPs have totally abandoned any morals and decided to ignore the will of the British people.
It will be remembered and no election or referendum will ever be the same again in this country.
The one thing that will come is a massive surge in the popularity of UKIP or a similar party in the future who stand for the 52%.
Happy Days.

OUT AFLI SUCK IT UP REMOANER LOSERS

Your ennui must be so burdensome. How do you cope?
I don't really. But words like 'ennui' raise the spirits, because I refuse to use words like 'depression'. To stave off the worst effects of world weariness I occasionally spar with the great minds of Planet Swans. It's harmless fun and I know I'm sparring with people who are essentuially good, because they are Swans supporters.

He will if he does that.
And it’s going to split the party. Leaving the spectacularly dim Mark Francois as the embodiment of the new Tories.
The Tory party is now experiencing the same entryism and extremist lurch that Labour did when Corbyn took over. It’ll take years to shift as it will with Labour.

And the fact you have an avatar showing an individual matching the exact description of Howard Devoto adds even further intrigue to the mix!
Devoto is a new name to me. My avatar does not reflect my political leanings, by the way, merely my love of exact words for precise feelings. Would I have liked the Buzzcocks?

The problem is as ECB has said previously first past the post
Francois is basically a Economist Nationalist, socially conservative a fag paper away from the Far right and his type make up a significant minority of the Tory party
They were swallowed up inside the Tory party which is meant to be a moderating force that is pro market, incremental change, sceptical of grand projects etc
In essence two parties, possibly 3 within the one overall umbrella. Brexit is the gateway drug to shift the Tory party to the right (which it has) the real agenda has little to do with the EU and never has been.
The same issue is infecting the Labour Party, the problem for Labour however is the Corbyn project is even more of a minority. Corbyn is not ‘old labour’ he is more aligned with the SWP it’s simply unsustainable and there does need to be a reckoning
Maybe Brexit is a catalyst for change and that might be necessary but we have a choice. Do we want to have positive change that could elevate our Country or do we want to go down a dark path towards divisive extremes that represent a loud minority
It’s time to make a call

It all hinges on whether you’ve ever fallen in love with someone you shouldn’t have fallen in love with.

I think the call has been made mate. Maybe not in politics yet, but in intolerance and public attitudes. We are now a ‘nasty’ country incubated by Cameron, exacerbated by the ridiculous May.

”Francois is basically a Economist Nationalist, socially conservative a fag paper away from the Far right and his type make up a significant minority of the Tory party.”
Fair to say you’ve just given a reasonably accurate description of Labour voters in Glamorgan there too. Not necessarily the card-carriers but those who turn out and tick the box every so often.
An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

I love your generalisations. Some of which may have been relevant 75 years ago.

Not a generalisation but an informed observation. I work in what you could fairly describe as one of the true, traditional bastions of Labour support and I exchange and listen to opinions day-in-day-out.

And as I keep telling you, anecdotal evidence is no evidence at all. Your experiences and conversations are only representative of your experiences and conversations.

A little experiment for you: walk into the bar of any Workingmens’ Club or Legion Hall in a fifty mile radius and ask them ‘boys, a British jobs first economic policy. Would you support that?’
Do you think they’d be queuing up to say “now, now, son. The global Market is the new God and we must all worship at its altar, even if that means we can’t help our grandkids get their first car or afford to go on the bowls trip any more?”

In my not inconsiderable experience of such places I’d wager most of them would look at you as if you were some kind of mentalist and carry on with enjoying their evening unemcumbered by your wittering.

They’d probably tell you to shut up as they’re listening to a bloke singing ‘Please Release Me Let Me Go’ in a manner only vaguely reminiscent of the original...
(As an aside - I chose that one as I once spent a memorable evening in the Briton Ferry workies where it was sung at least 5 times in the space of a few hours).

I assume citing 'Please Release Me Let M Go' in a Brexit thread was deliberate irony?
