How dumb are the English/British fans 18:37 - Sep 8 with 1376 views | perchrockjack | Win a freak game by virtue of one player and the Aussies will be shattered. Nah Here is an outstandingly gutsy Aussie outfit with a point to prove and an all time great batsman and captain. So we boo him, every game. Result was always going to be carnage because ,from his first steps to the crease, met by boos,Smith was going to punish the tw@ts that boo like they did. The great sportsmen never hide but I wish some sports fans would. Hopefully we will learn. We won't. Well done Oz.

How dumb are the English/British fans on 20:13 - Sep 8 by Dr_Winston | England's problem is as per usual they burden one of their best players with the captaincy, leading to questionable performance at both. It's happened time and time again. They've also put a lot more emphasis on one day cricket to the detriment of the test side, which is understandable in a home World Cup year. Bit stupid hosting an Ashes series straight after. |
Batting has been terrible except for Smith, Stokes, Labuschagne and to an extent Burns. Australian attack is better overall but Root is no captain. Cook was not great either. Need to start again with a captain (Morgan if need be-Paine is not the best wicketkeeper batsmen in The Aussie side) and identify a core test team-an opener (perhaps Denly gets another go), a 3, spinner, keeper and 2/3 seamers/all rounder to develop. Add Burns, Root, Stokes and Archer. plus a skipper. Broad and Anderson have been great, but time for Jimmy to retire and Broad soon too. NZ tour offers a chance to develop a team. Buttler and Roy are not test players. Bairstow perhaps, but Foakes needs another go. Plenty of young players- in the Overtons, Currans etc. and Pope who have not been given enough of a go.
