Why are travellers to the Uk from certain countries being charged £175 per day to stay in hotels?That's an excessive charge. I've never paid that much for a room and never would.Someone is making a nice profit from this. |  | | |  |

I personally I don’t think it’s too bad all things considered, could be a lot worse.
Transport from the airport to the hotel, room, food (room service), covid tests (they are £140 a pop if you need one to travel) security at hotel, deep cleans in rooms, buses etc, administration of scheme, set up costs, PPE for staff, medical cover at locations etc. If people want to enter the country the deals the deal. I wouldn’t want to pay that kind of money, but I’d probably not travel unless it was essential. [Post edited 17 Feb 2021 23:25]
