I cannot stand playing with 3 Centre halves, our width provided solely by (despite their undoubted usefulness) players like Bidwell who cannot beat a man. Happened over and over again last night- get it out wide to Bidwell or Lati, who then proceed to pass the ball backwards because they're under too much pressure to cross and cannot beat a man to save their lives. Early signs Laird might be an upgrade in that department, but I'd much rather we went with wingers than wing backs anyway. From what I saw last night I'd be quite happy to chuck Laird in at RM or wide of a front 3, even. Only player Stoke seemed genuinely scared of when he had the ball at his feet.

That's what we did once Martin had realised how badly he had f*cked up with his starting XI. Before that Lowe was up top on his own.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

I think we are going to have to put up with it though mate. Martin wants to play 2 WBs high up the field. Laird is defo going to be doing that instead of Lati from now on I believe. Looks like Lowe going to come in (or someone in the same ilk), to do the same on the other side. We are going to play 3 CBs, so we'd better get used to it.

And he had the courage to hold his hands up and admit he got it wrong, and make a sub after half an hour. I like that in a manager. I'm not one for slagging Cooper off, but I'm guessing he would have made the change after about 75mins
