There will be no match report tonight : Keith Stroud 16:50 - Nov 20 with 2906 viewsKeithHaynes

Our staff writers have agreed not to report on today’s game until the cold light of day is with us in the morning.

As it stands we will make no more comment until today’s game is reflected upon, and digested appropriately.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

If you care even a little bit what kind of flag people display in the stadium, unless it's something clearly offensive like an ISIS flag, Nazi Swastika or Hammer & Sickle, then you're a bellend of massive proportions.

It's truly staggering to me how some small bits of fabric can provoke such a ludicrous reponse.

Football is tribal, the union jack in football terms represents England and English teams, in the context of football, of Welsh football the union jack is offensive to some fans of Welsh teams.

PS It's seen as a symbol of imperialism by some people particularly by some in Wales, Scotland and Ireland and particularly in sport.

Remember Wales v New Zealand in 1905, Wales and the crowd sung Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau, there was talk of England via the British Army sending the tanks in against Welsh people, remember Terry Yorath Wales away to England in 1977, they wouldn't play Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau, so the players sung it on their own, they would not break their line up and start the match till they sung what they regarded as their national anthem.

Seeing these England flags, Northern Ireland flags, union jacks at the home end in Swansea is disrespectful and upsetting to see, what is the World coming too ?, the flags on their own are just flags but in football terms, in sporting terms they are nothing to do with Swansea they are representing Swansea's rivals, it's perverse.
