I have winessed some bad stuff in my life but it wasn't personal to me so didn't affect me.

I can handle other peoples problems ok, its when it's my family that I start to unravel.

I have a few loose threads right now.

I'm certainly not belittling anyone concept of stress as I've not experienced their life's experiences and I'm sorry to hear that you have issues to deal with which hopefully will have a positive outcome . Stress is very difficult to quantify, for some they can sail through life without a care and for others even the small thing can trigger a negative reaction ,looking back at the life I've led and the work I've carried out I'd like to think I'm in the former group and not the latter

Having completed a number of tours of NI in the early /mid 70's I can't think of one instance of myself or other members of my Company ever going "sick: even if the facility to do so existed (it didn't at the time ), it was something that was ever considered ,despite encountering many types of violence against us and witnessing the aftermath of a number incidents we had to carry on. The problems arose after and continue to this day for many .Stress is a personal thing for a few but similar for many

You were between the devil and the deep blue see, hated and mistrusted by both sides.
I cannot imagine anything more traumatic and trauma leads to stress.
I’ve been in some very nasty situations but lucky enough to manage and process them .
The past is often not just a goodbye though ,with apologies to CSN. It creeps back mainly when one is alone .
Family discord ,for me,is different gravy ,mainly as it’s personal and genetic. I haven’t been back to Swansea since my father died and never will .

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not
