Sousa's season was far duller as a whole than a lot of what Martin served up, but then again Sousa was hamstrung by having a forward line consisting of Kuqi, Pintado, Beattie, Bauza and an elderly Lee Trundle. Not really a shock that Darren Pratley ended up top scorer with seven given the dearth of quality upfront that he had to work with.

It's perhaps not a surprise that he chose to concentrate on being defensively solid instead, a move which really paid dividends for us as basically all Rodgers had to do was make a few small tweaks and bring Sinclair in. Even then it took until quite late in the season for us to click properly. Moving Dobbie into midfield was the key to that.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
