If he has been recalled, there isn't much we can do about it, but it begs the question why he hasn't been starting if John is out for weeks. Jimmy isn't a left back and never will be as his left foot is for standing on. If you are going to play someone out of position you might as well put one of our spare centre halves there and at least get the benefit of more height at the back. |  | | |

Spot on Brierls, it's a case of a player who looked the part not getting much game time and a player who hasn't/ doesn't look the part getting game time, from the glimpses of Conway that I saw he has the makings of a decent player sadly, for whatever reason he didn't get his chance at Dale, he'll now go out on loan elsewhere and be brilliant and we'll be stuck with Oduroh ! |  | | |

We are now in the position that teams in league one expect their loanees to get plenty of game time. We have sunk that far. The management should not pander to such expectations, we did that with the likes of Broadbent. BJ preferred other options. Nothing wrong with that. If Bolton are not happy with that, it is their choice. No club has the right to loan players out and expect the players to start x %, and be involved in X % of games.
I have no opinion on Conway either way but if Bolton wanted to Dale to provide him with more game time than he got then to bad. They now know that we the team is picked on perceived merit.
Some loans work, e.g O’Grady and some don’t. There are a plethora of reasons for that. It’s now a case of picking the next best available on the rank and moving forward. | | | |

A L1 player without a shadow? He played seven games for us, only starting one (where he was anonymous for the majority of the match). Showed a few nice touches on his appearances from the bench but to make such a strong assessment of him based on limited minutes is a bit much.
If he was a L1 player without a shadow he wouldn't have just joined Fylde. |  |
