It now has the three stripes instead of two, all that’s missing is the adidas badge.

Apparently the 3 stripes was recently contested therefore anyone can now produce a 3 stripe item with no fear of retribution from adidas.

Still the most gorgeous shirt QPR ever had IMO.
Fond memories getting it as my first ever shirt delivered to my house in the wilds of west of Ireland after sending CASH in the envelope to Loftus Road .
It had a more velvet feel compared to the replica ones I buy every year when I click on the Retro section (3 now I think ) haha.

That last one - that’s a thing ted.

I’m working with a very fair minded Hammer at the moment and he gave a very generous nod to our kits.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Fairly easy, yes. Just don’t set the iron too hot and you’ll be fine!

My first ever kit as a 8 year old. The best kit ever, love the red trim. So tempted to buy one.

Also love the luminous trimmed Influence kit. Lovely.

I think the sleeves have a bit too much red and trim. A bit overdone maybe.

The 85/86 is great, but I think the 84/85 shirt is better imo...

It's been contested before. The Irish kit manufacturer O'Neills who manufacture a lot of GAA kits had an action brought against them by Adidas in 1980 for using three stripes on their stuff (which they had done for years) which O'Neills ended up winning after a two year court battle.

I'm sure Brian Mc knows a bit more about it.

That's true for the Republic, but O'Neills kits made in Norn Iron have two stripes instead of three afaik.

Classic and understated, with just a flash of red swagger. Difficult to choose between 84/85 or 85/86. Maybe 85/86 is the big, flashier brother to 84/85.

Someone needs to start a poll.

84/85 is nicer, maybe, but 85/86 has a v neck.

Out of interest, has anyone bought either this seasons kits? Curious to know if they’re a similar fit to last seasons?

Re: retro kits, bought the brooks home kit. Looks so much better in real life than it does online. I used all my QPR cash on it, which for some reason I seemed to have way more of this season?!

I've bought the away kit for last season and this season - fit seems to be the same for both

No doubt 85/86 is a great kit. And it's obviusly from a memorable Season.

Nooooo, not the phantom Milk Cup final

But Banno's hat-trick in the Easter Monday massacre, the Robinson 300 yarder in the MC Q/f and the MC S/f 3-2 win over Liverpool, with Liverpool scoring 4 of the 5 goals in the tie - and buggering up their treble!

But back to the shirts, the more subtle red in the 84/85 kit is what shades it for me.

Sizing for the retro kits is a little bit smaller - so if you're normally an L then I would go a size up.
