I was gutted to miss the Vetch Concert...as I joined the Army earlier that month...really bad timing!
Interesting to read how (all?) 16 tracks from the Vetch concert are included, included as part of 92 unreleased tracks... a monster set of back catalogue Who tracks.
When you think of the massive 60's/70's/80's Super Groups some of whom still ply their trade, it truly is amazing! What a musical era some of us were fortunate to grow up in!
50th Year Anniversary eh? So many of today's 'bands' can't manage a second 'single' let alone an album. What the hell has happened to the musical dynamism we were so lucky to witness in our youth. |  | | |

As a fourteen year old and it being a nice hot summers day it was a cracking afternoon sights and sounds, nice new to me bands setting the day up for the last two bands I had heard of namely The Sensational.Alex Harvey Band and The Who.
I would concur that the former theatrics will forever be instilled as one of the best performances I have enjoyed, the Who then went onto end the night nicely for me on a high.
Went to see the film Tommy down the Odeon cinema around this time can't remember if it was before or after but that film had elements that disturbed me but the music and the film had me engrossed by some very imaginative performances, Oliver Reed, Paul Nicholas, Elton John, Keith Moon and Tina Turner whose Acid Queen scenes scared the life of me.
Was surprised when I went to see The Kaiser Chiefs in the Swansea Arena the Who were played as the introductory music unexpectedly for me setting it up for a cracking concert by them, they weren't my primary band that I went to see that night but they topped the show off nicely.
