Maybe now,we can actually unite and not drag up posts from way back ;it serves no purpose.

Hamer, second fiddle to Woodman;Cooper's shame and an indication of how he really did screw us up.
Piroe, just lethal, one chance is all he needs
Naughton, very very good although I worry when he is really pressed hard
Bennett, looked like he would get sent off but recovered;great pro.
Manning ,much,for me,improved and a crucial clearance
Smith, again miles better than he has been.
Pato,good but quit the showboating

Downes-sheer class and should always start IMO.Future captain

Grimes is better too;less faffing around and moving the ball quicker

Obefemi looked like he is way off the pace and his touch is poor; for now.

For me,the most complete show this year..

Now shut bournmouth up

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Smith is in the twilight of his career to an extent, but he is playing his best football for years.
Pato too, he’s far closer to retiring and maybe has one more contract in him. He must be gutted he didn’t have this as a 23 year old.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

TBH I thought there wasn't much to choose between Benda & Hamer at the start of the season and going for Ben was a bit regressive but happy to be proven wrong. He is excellent. (Got caught sleeping last night though.
Naughton is very good in the centre of a three but I still think Cabango offers more ... but not if he's expected to play full back.
We have a very similar squad to last season (Downes and Piroe are upgrades on the players they replaced) but we are playing as a team rather than the collection of players.

Poll: Should the summer transfer window close before the season starts?

I don't think Cabango could play consistently for 90's minutes as does Naughton, who I think has a new lease of life playing in the current system .Regarding playing as a team ,I agree , we're more cohesive as a unit either in defence or attack. We appera to be much more committed to getting bodies in and around the box either in ours or the oppositions
